Their account, shared by team member Balaram Das, offers a rare first-person window into what sustained disaster relief looks lik

We traveled about 4 hours north of Manila to do some programs at a Nama-hatta outreach centre with a couple of van loads of devotees from Taguig and Laguna. It was a long weekend so the traffic was horrendous.

Nevertheless, we all enjoyed the trip chanting japa and had nice prasadam along the way. Once there the centre programs were great and on Sunday morning we went to a famous holiday place nearby for “beach kirtan” and prasadam.

31148699265?profile=RESIZE_400x31148700266?profile=RESIZE_400xI visited the city of Cebu, Philippines, for the first time and was looked after nicely by our devotees there.

Radha Vallabha who is one of the leaders arranged a harinama through a famous park where we had a wonderful walking and sit down kirtan, followed by sumptuous prasadam.

The next day, devotees went to an interfaith program attended by leaders of Catholic, Christian, Muslim, Hindu and Indigenous faiths. I spoke and led kirtan and we provided delicious prasadam to all.

For more than twenty years the Manila temple was located in a tiny house in the Makati area, which is a city within it’s own right. Even though crammed, the devotees served Their Lordships Sri Sri Radha Madhava with love and devotion.

Some years back land was bought in Taguig and this year on Lord Nityananda’s appearance day a new grand temple was opened. There are plans to also add a large kitchen and dining hall with accommodation upstairs.

It was wonderful to visit and see the new facilities

31137478880?profile=RESIZE_400xIt was wonderful to again visit our Vraja Eco Village project just outside Manila. The deities and temple are beautiful as are the surrounding landscaped grounds. While there on Akshaya Tritiya, I took part in a yajna to mark the final stages of the new reception and conference building.

Apart from the temple area there are many wonderful facilities, such as, a big kirtan/yoga hall, restaurant, private and group guest houses, school, goshala, ashrama, fields of banana, coconut, other fruit trees

I had the opportunity to visit the Vraja Eco Village about one and a half hours outside of Manila. This project had been developed under the inspiration of his Holiness Giridhari Maharaja and his team of dedicated and talented devotees.

The property is about nine hectares in size and there are many guest houses, a school, restaurant, ashrama and other wonderful facilities. The temple is beautiful and artistically designed, landscaped with beautiful gardens and fountains.
