Recruitment of Volunteers for Spring 2018

We have work for dedicated builders with a pioneer spirit.  This spring we continue clearing, landscaping, fencing and road making for the Vedic Eco Village.  Log cabins and an outdoor kitchen will be constructed for guests and workers. The foundations will be dug for the Yoga Shala,  Yajna Shala, Go Shala, Path Shala, Mandir, Prasadam Hall and Cultural Hall.  We will build an outdoor bath house and greenhouse on the deck of the main cabin.

Our acaryas advise us to learn to ignore our mind. Why? Well, we shouldn’t ignore it when we are thinking of Krsna. But in our conditioned state, the mind really has a mind of its own. When we decided to become devotees, the mind didn’t agree. And it still is resisting surrender. When the mind presents thoughts that are detrimental to our Krsna consciousness – or to our well being – we can jokingly tell our mind, “Thank you for sharing,” and decide to connect more

Conviction cannot be based on intellectual understanding. Are we convinced that Krsna consciousness is true? Yes, I am because it makes sense. But that’s just the beginning and it is a lot more than that. It has to be experienced in the heart. It must be really felt that Krsna consciousness is the most wonderful thing. That’s living on the cutting edge and spiritual life is about living on the cutting edge!
