Dina%20Sarana%20A.jpg At this year’s meetings of the Governing Body Commission—ISKCON’s ultimate managing authority—in Mayapur, India, German Srila Prabhupada disciple Dina Sharana Dasi became only the second-ever woman to accept the position of full-voting GBC member.

Her path there starts a decade ago: One day, while washing pots in her kitchen, she had what she callseingebungin German—a kind of inspirational vision in her mind—where Srila Prabhupada told her something that would change her life.

Tilaka: The Mark of God
By Nandlal
Anyone who wishes to acknowledge the simple truth that "I am Lord Krishna's servant" can wear tilaka, the clay mark devotees wear on the forehead and other places on their body. You may not feel you have much devotion to Krishna, but you're not prohibited from wearing tilaka, because it's a sign that you're trying to be His devotee. What's more, the qualifications for being Krishna's devotee soon develop in a person who learns the art of wearing tilaka.

Truth and Beauty

Hare Krishna,

  A nice article
By A.C.Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, Back to Godhead Magazine #15,1967

It has often been argued whether truth and beauty are terms compatible with one another. One would agree willingly, some say, to express the truth, but since truth is not always beautiful—indeed it is frequently rather startling and unpleasant—how is one to express truth and beauty at the same time?

In reply to this we may inform all concerned that Truth and Beauty are indeed compatible terms.

Tamala Krsna: Can Krsna give us the ability to someday remember every
word that you are saying to us now? Because I myself, I forget so
much. I want to hear just how you are talking and I can't.

Prabhupada: What is that? I don't follow.

Tamala Krsna: I want to be able to hear you saying exactly what you're
saying now. I want to always be able to hear it, but I forget. My
memory is very poor.

Prabhupada: Why? No. If we try... Memory may be poor. Everything
depends on cultivation. If you cultivate somethi

Simply Wonderfuls

Bill was regularly helping Upendra in the kitchen and would delight in hearing him speak of the early days of Krsna consciousness in America. As Upendra busied himself stirring pots of vegetables and preparing a variety of savoury items, Bill would roll "Simply Wonderfuls" -- confections made from sugar, butter and powdered milk -- for the Sunday feast. Bill liked this association with Upendra, and especially loved prasadam. By now he had added 10kg to his once lanky frame, and

Love of Krsna to anyone.

srimad.jpgSo love of Krsna is not an easy thing obtainable, but Caitanya Mahaprabhu distributed this love of Krsna to anyone, to everyone, even to Jagai and Madhai. So Narottama dasa Thakura therefore has sung in his song, papi tapi jata chilo, hari-name uddharilo, tara saksi jagai madhai. Caitanya Mahaprabhu is so magnanimous that He delivered all kinds of sinful men. Jata chilo. And simply allowing them to chant Hare Krsna mantra, delivered. Tara saksi jagai madhai.

Now, at that time, there was two Jaga

Quick trip to the Lord

One should become an unalloyed devotee of the Personality of Godhead, Sri Krsna, and serve Him with rapt attention.
The servants of God come to propagate God consciousness, and intelligent people should cooperate with them in every respect. By serving the servant of God, one can please God more than by directly serving the Lord. The Lord is more pleased when He sees that His servants are properly respected because such servants risk everything for the service of the Lord and so are very dear to t

Srila Prabhupad Uvaca!!

Montreal temple, established now for a year and a half, occupied a former bowling alley on the third floor of a building near McGill University. Although the gutters on either side of the eight bowling lanes had been filled in with wood, thus creating a smooth, level floor, the eight hardwood lanes were still prominent. An altar and vyasasana stood against one wall, and a temporary wall partitioned off the men's quarters. There was also a kitchen and separate quarters for the women. With diffi

How to deal with Prathishtha and Living in vraja

Transcribed Lecture of HH Mahanidhi Maharaj:

So we have gathered here, this is basically called ista-gosti. Gost means sound, ista means the worshippable lord of our heart. I didn’t plan any lecture. If you have any questions on any topic related to sambandha or abhideya or prayojana of Krsna consciousness you can ask.
(The question is) When we were in Russia we used to fast and now we have come to Vrndavan, so someone said we don’t have to fast.

There is no reason for you to remain captured in maya, or the dreamlike illusory energy of material existence sometimes imagining that you are a king and sometimes imagining that you are a pauper, because the supreme source of all existence, the most stupendously astonishing person that you could ever hope to meet is ready to liberate you right now.
