Wrong actions lead to disgrac

"A man who has no biased and scheming relatives to disgrace his family lives very happily in this world, like a tree that stands alone in a village. That single tree, full of leaves and fruits, becomes sacred to the village, and because it stands alone, without a jungle of relatives, the people honor and revere it.

"Of course, those who have many courageous relatives and who are devoted to religious principles also live happily in this world, free of distress. Powerful, prosperous people who love

Surprise visit

Easter Friday, 31 March 1972 - 83 Hereford Street, Glebe

The devotees in Sydney had worked hard to transform the little cottage in Glebe into Radha and Krsna's temple. The devotee population had more than tripled in only six weeks and spirits were high. A new altar had been built for Radha-Gopinatha, as well as a new vyasasana for Srila Prabhupada. Trees and shrubs were being planted in the garden, and painting and decorating were going ahead full-swing.

Janne, now Jagattarini, had m

Srila Prabhupada's visit to Australia

Thursday, 30 March 1972

Srila Prabhupada travelled with three disciples from Calcutta to Sydney via Singapore. Syamasundara acted as his secretary, Pradyumna as his servant and Sanskrit editor, and Nanda Kumara as his cook. After the plane departed, Srila Prabhupada took his meal from the well-stocked tiffin containers that Nanda Kumara had filled before departing.

Nanda Kumara: I cooked Srila Prabhupada a dry potato subji with a lot of turmeric. I had par-boil

Our business is to try our best. Result we leave it for consideration of Krishna, and we shall not be disappointed whether the result is favorable or unfavorable. Actually there cannot be any unfavorable result, because we are serving Krishna.

Spiritual Story - Sravanam

It was a king's court, the ministers, pandits and artists were all seated in their respective places. The king and his ministers had earned quite a name and fame for their wit and wisdom. One day a brahmana entered the court. He was given a warm welcome with all honor due to him. '

The king asked him: "Oh revered one! May I know what brings you here? We are very happy on account of your presence
here today."

The Brahman replied: "Oh King, your court is reputed for its wit and wisdom. I have brought

Hare Krsna All,

Dandavat Pranaam.

AGTSP. PAMHO.

Although I have come across this word number of times & somewhat even know the meaning of it, still I would like to know in detail what does "transcendental" actually means? Also how would one transcend the three modes of material nature?

**** Relationship With Vaisnava****

By serving the vaisnava we can get strength in devotional life. We have to honor him, respect him and accept the blessings. There should be no political motive in that service, no misdealing. It should be pure hearted, from the heart.

Although far from comprehensive and obviously directed towards reasons we do not eat onions and garlic the following notes considered relevant have been compiled. (we recognise that there are claimed to be many medicinal benefits from the said foods but our busineess is to support Srila Prabhupada's statements about them.

Thought Of The Day

Simply engage yourself in Krishnas service. That will protect you from any attack of maya. Maya can take Krishnas place in our heart as soon as there is a slackness on our part. Otherwise, if Krishnas seated always, maya has no opportunity to occupy the seat.

Preserve your spiritual status

Preserve your spiritual status - avoid stress

In the name of service, we often overburden ourselves with impossible schedules, high expectations from ourselves and others and big projects and goals. Sometimes we end up stressed out and frustrated .  We have lost the Higher connection. At that time, our happy Krishna conscious mood leaves us, our spiritual practice might become compromised, and instead of gratitude, we feel burned out, bitter or anxious.
Of course, there is some
