yatra yogesvarah krsno yatra partho dhanur-dharah tatra srir vijayo bhutir dhruva nitir matir mama…..(Bhagavad Gita Chapter 18, Text 78)

Wherever there is Krsna, the master of all mystics, and wherever there is Arjuna, the supreme archer, there will also certainly be opulence, victory, extraordinary power, and morality. That is my opinion.

The Highest Pleasure In A Rascal Culture

Hare Krsna

Please accept my humble obeisance. All glories to Srila Prabhupada

This exchange between His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada and some of his disciples took place on October 18, 1975, during a morning walk in Johannesburg, South Africa.
Disciple: Srila Prabhupada, people sometimes criticize by saying, "Your Vedic culture was most solidly established in India. And India is now considered relatively poor and unfortunate. So why should we respect the Vedic culture?"

One truck driver was doing his usual load delivery at a mental hospital, by parking his vehicle beside an open drain. He discovered a flat tyre when he was about to return from the mental hospital. He jacked up the truck and removed the flat tyre to fix the spare tyre. When he was about to fix the spare tyre, he accidentally dropped all the 4 bolts in the open drain.

As he cannot fish the bolts in the open drain, he start

Srila Prabhupada Vani

Hare Krsna

Please accept my humble obeisance. All glories to Srila Prabhupada

Another American disciple joined Prabhupada -- Ramanuja, from Haight-Ashbury. He had been initiated just before Swamiji had left San Francisco, and he sported a full black beard. Prabhupada didn't like the beard. Cautiously and indirectly he mentioned it: but Ramanuja's beard stayed. Ramanuja carried a book about Tibetan Buddhism, and he didn't seem fixed in Krsna consciousness philosophy. But here he was, one of the loo

How are we becoming contaminated? : There are three modes of material nature: sattva-guṇa, rajo-guṇa, tamo-guṇa; goodness, passion and ignorance. And we are, according to the association... Just like here we can see, somebody cannot live without smoking. It is practical. But none of our devotees smoke. So it is possible. Because a devotee is associating with the devotees, therefore he is acquiring the quality by as

Ritvik Misconception

Hare Krsna

Please accept my humble obeisance. All glories to Srila Prabhupada

In their attempts to propagate the ritvik misconception, the ritvik proponents, have not been able to provide a proper siddhantic explanation of this issue. Their engagement in mundane grammatical and logical debates reveals a lack of spiritual acquisitioAn–realization seen through the eye of divine service. There is not a single example in our sampradaya nor by any of our acaryas, nor any other bonafide sampradaya where

HE CALLED ME BACK

By Amogha Das (ACBSP)
Melbourne, Australia

It was about 1979 when I lived in Melbourne, Australia, that I decided my fallen self was a burden to ISKCON. I felt that ISKCON would be purer without me in it. I decided to leave the temple and association of devotees.

I went to the temple alone when no one else was there. There is a big brass bell at the entrance we would ring upon entering the temple. There are three arched doorways of Deity room, and three separate altars. I had come to said "Go

UNNECESSARY FASTING- NONSENSE! YOU GOT SERVICE!
[1973, Bhaktivedanta Manor, England]

I had been a brahmacari for two and some half years and was feeling restless. Many times, Srila Prabhupada explained how one must reduce one's sleeping and eating to make spiritual advancement, so I decided to utilize the two upcoming fast days to reduce my eating.

While breaking fast at midnight on Janmastami, I ate very little. I again ate sparingly the next afternoon after Srila Prabhupada's Vyasa puja ce

Writing Lords Name

Hare Krishna to all Dear Devotees.

Its my humble request that when ever we are writing Lords name it should be written  as Hare Krishna and not just hare krishna ( after all we are addressing Lord along with her energy), also due to some reason we have form the habit of writing abbreviations like HK, please try and understand we are talking about Supreme Personality of Godhead, we MUST RESPECT the letters while writing Lords name.

Please do not take it otherwise and understand the point mentioned.

Thought Of The Day

So after understanding our relationship with Krsna... Every understanding has its ultimate goal. So the understanding is that we are eternally related with Krsna. Forgetting this relationship, we are now engaged in relationship with this material body, which I am not. Therefore I have to revive my activities which is directly in relationship with Krsna. And that is called to act in Krsna consciousness. And development of that Krsna consciousness will be ended in love of, full love of Krsna. When

Thought for the Day

In the Bhagavad-gita , the Lord says that bhaktya mam abhijanati. Bhaktya mam abhijanati, tattvatah, yavan yas casmi tattvatah [Bg. 18.55].

In another place the Lord says that "To understand Me, actually what I am, is very difficult." Manusyanam sahasresu kascid yatati siddhaye: [Bg. 7.3]

"Out of many millions of human beings, somebody tries to make a perfection of his life." Otherwise they are all working like cats and dogs, that's all, simply ahara-nidra-bhaya-maithunam ca. They have no other

God and a Magician

  • Maataji has given an example of God & a Magician.  Magician brings out so many beautiful things from his hat, turns ribbons into rabbits, rabbits into papers, etc.  what we see the ribbons as rabbits and rabbits as papers are not real, but since we are only seeing the rabbits, ribbons, papers, all those are visible to us.  But if we see the logic / tricks the magician is doing, then we will come to know that it is not rabbit, it is ribbon, it is not ribbon, it is paper and the like.  Similarly w
