Destiny

Source: [granthraj]

While reading Srila Prabhupada's book I came across a very nice realization that destiny cannot be changed. But in spite of our destiny, if we try for Krishna consciousness, we can achieve spiritual success. We should not waste our energy for material happiness, because we cannot get more than what we are destined to have. That is why Prahlada Maharaja urged his friends, kaumara aacaret praajn

Is every thing is predestined?

Are we architects of Your Own Destiny.

Pain is destined if you choose to remain in material world. Unlimited bliss is destined if you choose to go back to the spiritual world. Your going back or staying here is not
predestined. It is your choice. In the ultimate regard, you are the architect of your own destiny.

We all are Krishna's part and parcels (bg 15.7). Our duty as well as aim of human

It was an amazing Rath Yatra festival at London. My perspective was limited, since I stayed by Srila Prabhupada's side, but it was filled with adventure. Srila Prabhupada was very enthusiastic. His Vyasasana was available on the Ratha cart, but he decided to walk with the devotees. Srila Prabhupada walked in front of the cart clapping his hands to the beat of the kirtan. He raised his hands in the air encouraging everyone to dance. He looked like the supreme puppeteer.

As he raised his hands

Part One Finding the Moon in Surya Siddhanta

The formula for finding the planets in the Surya Siddhanta cannot be employed for the moon. This is so because all the planets are found taking help of the number 324,000 and 57,753,336 which are for the moon. If we try to derive the moon from this formula the numbers cancel each other out.

Therefore the Surya Siddhanta gives us two separate numbers for the moon. Still our numbers will be canceled out applying

Having modern education or related literary skill does not mean, proper awareness of Vedic dharma.

For instance, Professor U.R.Ananthamoorthy’s ( So called, Jnanapith award winner) stated today, “ Both Narendra Modi and Sangh Parivar,  do not have proper awareness of Vedic dharma like Mahathma Gandhi. In Vedic times cow sacrifice and eating cow meat was common. Only later this stopped because of the need to use the cows f

Sri Krishna is extremely fond of all His Bhaktas. He forgives their mistakes and remains with them. Bhagavan abandons the Bhakta only when his/her Bhakti is no more. Even then, the merits of the previous Krishna-association continues to help the Bhakta.

So, just think how much fortunate the Krishna-Bhaktas are ? They are indeed the Acharyas of this age. Gradually Krishna develops them with His divine power.

So just try to understand how much people were advanced in the previous ages. The Bhagavad-gita talks took place between Krishna and Arjuna in the battlefield just on the verge of the battle’s beginning. So how much time could they spare? Utmost, half an hour – not more than that. So within half an hour, this Bhagavad-gita was taught to Arjuna, and he could understand it, and then he agreed to fight (nasto mohah smrtir
