Hare Krsna

Please accept my humble obeisance. All glories to Srila Prabhupa

Sri Sankaracarya says: na hi na hi raksati dukrn karane. “Simply by juggling grammatical suffixes and prefixes one cannot save himself from the clutches of death.” The grammatical word jugglers cannot bewilder a devotee who engages in chanting the Hare Krishna naha-mantra. (Sri Caitanya-caritamrta, Adi-lila, 7.73 Purport)
Lord Caitanya’s spiritual master instructed Him that one must read Srimad-Bhagavatam regularly and wit

Size of the soul

The size of the soul is one ten - thousandth part of the tip of the hair. It means that if we take the tip of the hair and cut it into one ten - thousand parts then that extremely tiny part is the actual size of the soul.

Svetasvatara Upanisad (5.9) confirms the size of the soul:

balagra – sata – bhagasya
satadha kalpitasya ca
bhago jivah sa vijneyah
sa canantyaya kalpate

“When the upper point of a hair is divided into one hundred parts and again each of such parts is further divided into one hundr

Thought Of The Day

Prabhupada: So that is the defect, that the modern civilization, they are not taking care of the spirit soul; they are simply taking care of the machine, body. Therefore the problems are there. You asked, "How to solve the problems?" The problems are there on account of this, that they are not taking care of the driver; they are simply taking care of the machine body. So if you take care of the driver, then he will remain sane, he will drive nicely, the body will not be disastrous, he will live

Inadequate and improper foods make our body weak and prone to various bodily diseases. Similarly if we do not nourish our heart with a healthy diet then it becomes weak and prone to material diseases. The virus of lust, greed, pride, anger, envy, illusion and false ego easily attacks a diseased heart. Happiness gives way to helplessness and we constantly strug
