Take a dip in Ganga and you will lose all the sins acquired over millions of lifetimes.

This is possible because, Ganga flows from the causal world from the feet of Lord Vishnu (Vamana Avatar) and therefore carries the dust from the lotus feet of the Lord.

Simply saying the Name of Hari, will also make it possible to lose all sins acquired over millions of lifetimes. In fact, Haridas Thakur who is named as Namacharya by Caitanya Mahaprabhu, says that even before you are about to utter the Holy Name of the Lord, you are purified of your sins... just like the darkness is dispelled even before the sun rises.

Performing Sankirtana, especially Nagar Sankirtana/Harinam Sankirtan, dispels not only your sins for saying the Names of the Lord, but also dispels the sins of the listeners.

Simply by listening to the Names of Krishna, even once is sufficient to lose all sins acquired over millions of lifetimes. (This doesnt happen if the chanter is a mayavadi, and thinks Krishna is a figment of imagination, someone like the Dr.Radhakrishnan falls under this category)

Can yagna purify someone's bad karma if he/she is not chanting or not yet convinced about kc. So that eventually they can start chanting. Or can we chant on someone's behalf.

yes, chanting for others is also very powerful. Especially when we chant and pray for their welfare. Krishna loves and concurred by the compassionate quality of a Devotee.

For example, when Vasudev Datta requested Lord Chaitanya to take all living entities to Spiritual world and put him in the hell for their sins Lord Chaitanya started to cry. He told that You Vasudev "I am Your property. Do whatever You want to do with Me. I am concurred by Your qualities..."

As like a loving mother can not see the suffering condition of her sons in this way Lord Krishna is also can not see the suffering condition of His particles. Because of that because of His deep love for them He always remains in the heart of the soul no matter he is put in pig's body or in Demigod's.

And that mother's love is only tiny reflection of Krishna's love. Oh how much might be His love to us????!!!!

Because of that if we chant and become happy and share this medicine with others Krishna becomes unlimitedly grateful to us. Unlimitedly.

Such a nature of our diksha and shiksha Gurus also.

Krishna hears the prayer of His Devotees. Especially when we pray for the welfare of others.

Oh for what we came to this world??? To give! So let's give! It is worth to go through tears for the happiness of others. (HH RNS).

It is true and there is no doubt that Sankirtana yagya is the best in this age. Because even if a shudra starts to chant he can be elevated to the stage of a brahmana. Such powerful the Holy Names are.

Why shastras say that in this age other yagyas no power because everyone or most part of people are shudras in this age so they won't be able to pronounce the Vedic mantras properly. But if the Holy Names are changing shudras into brahmanas then very soon or even now there are such like brahmanas in ISKCON.

So in this way fire yagyas also are having power. So we should not nullify their importance.

It says that 3-4 generation kids after Srila Prabhupada will become very powerful brahmanas who can create fire without using matches or other things it is because of their purity and power. So they might be children of serious Devotees.

So in this way for 10 000 years there will be Satya Yuga which means only brahmanical culture.

Pranam. Fire yajnas are still practiced in certain ceremonies like house warming, deity installation and weddings. That is a different issue all together. But Sastras did not recommend any yajnas for the purpose of moving away bad karmas.

But sastra did insist a person to chant the holy names for it can remove the results of our bad karmas not only in this birth but also in our previous births.

We do appreciate powerful brahmanas. Yet, conducting any yajna in the absence of Harinam is fruitless. The fact of the matter is, whether one is a brahman, kshatriya, vaishya or sudra... the best and the recommended formula to overcome or to drive away our bad karmas is chanting the holy name of the Lord because we are not only interested in driving away bad karma...we need to develop love of Godhead and ultimately go back home , Back to Godhead....

Mahamantra is the only way to drive away all bad karmas in Kali yuga. In other Yugas, Yajna was recommended because the recitation of the mantras, the conductor of the yajna and the paraphernalias used for the performance of Yajnas were all flawless.Nowadays,that is almost impossible.Anyhow, we have got the Mahamantra and chanting the mahamantra is the best among all the yajnas. SANKIRTANA YAJNA. So, just keep chanting because it does not only drive away bad karmas but it also brings you close to Krishna and that will make your life sublime...TRY IT...SUCCESS GUARANTEED...!
