Need clarification about women's role. I have been going through many videos by Iskcon Prabhujis and comments where it is said that women should be doing cooking and serving husband and children.
Women going out and working in corporate looks successful and earns money, but they are not happy inside. So natural role of women is to serve husband, children and taking care of home and not going out.

The following is an interview of Mrs. Indra Nooyi, CEO of Pepsico. I appreciate her for speaking the truth.

It is recomended to hear it twice expecially where she says the following
1. Women pretend they can have it all
2. Biological clock vs Career clock
3. Coping mechanisms (For what ? the obvious problems, no solution, so cope with problems)
4. Conclusion - You cant do justice to both
Now consider this, she doesn't even mention anything about god. For each devotee, bare minimum bhakti takes 2 hours of each day in addition to family, career etc.
So as she says it is a conscious decision that is to be made by an individual. Whether to be a good parent or a not so good parent.
What devotees reccomend generally is what is best for one's spiritual life. Naturally because if u ask a fitness trainer he would recommend what is best for one's fitness. A dietician would recommend what food is best for one's long term health. A soda advertisement says what is best for their sales. Media says what they get paid for.
So from devotees point of view spiritual life is topmost priority. So if a woman can take care of spiritual needs of everyone in the family, that would be best for family & society as a whole, for this life and the next.
But ultimately it is an individual's personaly choice. And like most things in this world, right decision means sacrifice. Wrong decisions are glamorised by mass media.
I feel very proud that my mother, both grandmothers made the right decisions. I am eternaly grateful to them because they played a role in giving basic teachings of life, which led to acceptance of KC by me and my brother. Sure I might not have gotten my fav cricket bat or a cycle, but in retroscpect its too silly, my parent's time, energy and attention is too important for my upbringing as compared their attention to some sales figure of a stupid company. Most importantly my parents are happy with the decisions they made and so are the children.
