Will iskon help my family ?

If a person want to become bramchari,
Who will be financial support of their parent? if bramchari is the only person who earns for the family                                                        2.
(Assuming that ISKCON pays family)
What will be your priority if bramchari parent
Is in hospital and making lots of expenditure or a temple that is society dream to make from several decades
If you have limited money where will you spend
A parent whose son came to you to become a faithfully devotee
Or a temple which is dream from a millions of devotee

Will iskon help my family ?

The best and highest help Iskcon can provide to anyone is the opportunity to serve Sri Krsna.

If a person want to become bramchari,  Who will be financial support of their parent?

The best person to answer this is the person who wants to become Brahmacari. But in general who will NOT provide financial support to parents of Brahmacari is Iskcon.

If you have limited money where will you spend

Iskcon has Seven Purposes. Money is expected to be spent in fulfilling these seven purposes.

Providing financial support to parents of Brahmacaris is not even remotely related to any of the seven.

What will be your priority if bramchari parent  Is in hospital and making lots of expenditure or a temple that is society dream to make from several decades

I think answer to this question is clear from the above. Ask this question - What if the Brahmacari himself is in hospital and making lots of expenditure ?

    Hare Krsna Prabhuji,

    PAMHO.

When one joins full time, he has to provide for his family before joining full time. ISKCON cannot be expected to pay for every brahmacari who joins. Then,, all unemployed youth and not so young will think of this as alternate employment. It is not. THis is a charitable organisation, people join for rendering selfless service. Typically, before joining, they iron out these issues of who will take care of family, or reach such a stage of surrender that KRsna will take care.

If a person joins brahmacari ashram and parents are in need (hospital or some emergency), then he is expected to go and take care of his family. I know of brahmacaris who go for 3-6 months at a stretch to take care of family and return when the emergency is sorted.

One has to be judicious when spending. Putting all the money for family is not advisable, nor putting everything for charity is advisable. One has to use one's head and decide, depending on individual's situation in life.

    Haribol,

    Your servant,

    Radha Rasamayi DD
