Because the devotees in America have mostly decided not to go out and chant the Holy Name things have leveled off. The Mormons and Jehovah's Witnesses, however, are very energetically going out and meeting with members of the public. In this way they are having great success. We may want to examine their very nice example.

What is the solution? How do we wake up the devotees?

Any ideas? Who's responsibility is it to run the Krishna Conscious activities? Temple president's?

If it is, should we use politics within the temples to influence these temple presidents?

I have been going on Sankirtana on my own, but non of the other devotees want to join unless temple sponsors it.

Are we at the mercy of the temple presidents, who may have acquired the post simply by seniority? Apart from ability to manage of course?

Forgive me, I am not here to criticize anyone. However, what is the solution?

How do we overcome this challenge?

Always it is not possible that the person who ask question can understand the subject matter rightly. For example , a 5 years girl can not understand what is the relation between a husband and a wife. She may ask sometimes and what is Husband , what is wife what is marriage?. Similarly in our situation we can not under stand everything all of a sudden. So Mahaprabhu says we need Satsang first before doing our sadhana. . Satsang means the association of higher devotees , who has Parokshya and Aprokshya , both realizations. That person can answer all questions. But the person who ask questions , will gradually develop his power of understanding by regular hearing , asking doubts and performing tapasya or sadhana.

Because Chanting Japa and Harinam/Nagar Sankirtana will take away the impurities of our mind and help us think properly. Many time people are not chanting and therefore are having tons of questions.

Simply taking up Japa or Sankirtana will make you understand a lot of thing without even being told the answers
