  • Hare Krishna,

Sometimes Krishna :-) can chnage His vows.  For the sake of His devotees He can do anything change Vows made also.

Krishna broke His own vow that He wont lift any weapon in the Yudha Bhoomi of Kurukshetra.. But when time came and Bhisma resolved to HIs devotee Arjuna... by sunset.

Krishna feigned ( pretended) to be angry on Bhismha and lifted  weapon ( that is the Wheel of the Chariot) .. For the sake of devotee He can do anything even break the vows made.

So..........Krishna now tells Arjuna you boldly declare that my devotee will never perish.. I shall do anything to protect him no vows will ever come in my way.

Krishna makes Vows and breaks vows. .. How to trust HIM? :-)  Bhagwan pe Kaise bharosa karein.. jo ek word pe nahi rehta. HAHHA devotees ke liye woh Surya Grahan  ( solar eclipse) which was not to be there.. He made it appear suddenly out of nowwhere.. Ab inke bharosa karein..?? Lagta hai inke bhakt inse bade shaktishaali hai... veh agar kuch vaada kar de.. unke vaade ko nibhaane ke liye.. Ye Kanha dharti ambar ek karke bhi apne bhakton ke diye gaye vaade ko nibhaa hi dega.laughing

Better to hold the feet of the devotees who are more powerful then Krishna as Krishna is under their control.

One time Krishna had to become Shaymala das Seth ji to repay the loan of Narsi Mehta. Devotee ke liye kya kya nahi kar dete..

He became Kumhaar for a potter and served Gora Kumhaar.

He became a care taker when Raghunath das goswami ji was sick.

apne Bhakton ke liye Veh kuch bhi kar sakte hai ...he can break vows and make new vows.  Huh..inse achhe toh unke bhakt hai.. jinke aadheen mein hai Ye Kanha.

The relationship between a pure devotee and the Supreme Personality of Godhead is extremely  relishable. A devotee never claims to be very powerful himself; instead, he fully surrenders to the lotus feet of Krsna, being confident that in all dangerous conditions Krsna will protect His devotee. Krsna Himself says in Bhagavad-gita 9.31, (“O son of Kunti, declare boldly that My devotee never perishes).” The Lord requested Arjuna to declare this instead of declaring it Himself because sometimes Krsna changes His view and therefore people might not believe Him. Thus Krsna asked Arjuna to declare that a devotee of the Lord is never vanquished.

    Hare Krishna

    • Yes Krsna can change His view. That is why He asks Arjuna to declare it boldly. Arjuna being a devotee of Krsna can never change his view about Krsna. He is fixed. Therefore, it is more effective if Krsna asks Arjuna to declare it boldly. Moreover, Arjuna is a friend as well and is never envious of Krsna. Therefore, he is the right person to be entrusted with something so important as Protection by the Lord.

  • people can relate closely with arjuna rather than krishna , so that's why perhaps..

    • What place has ' perhaps 'got in devotional service Prabhu? Either you know or you don't know!

Why speculating? It maybe like this or maybe like that?

      This needs to be avoided.

      • perhaps has got its due place in devotional service, if you like only then i will explain, generally i don't think that explanation is needed in a general discussion.

actually i'll like to refrain from the explanation because of certain esoteric reasons.why don't you start with gopal champu with the motive of understanding "perhaps".

having said that what you have said is perfectly true as speculation should be avoided at all costs.

        • Hare Krsna

          Yes perhaps is not speculation.

          Thanks for the correction.
