PAMHO, Hare Krishna,

What is the process of liberation ?

Mahabharat Shantiparva 264:15-19 says:

Ashraddha param papam shraddha paap pramochini

Translation:  It is a great sin to be non-trustworthy, but a great trust destroys all sins.

Srimad Bhagavatam:

Manusham lokam muktidvaram.

Vivek Chudamani, Rigveda, Vedic prayers, Upanishads have given some references on liberation.

Brihadaranyaka Upanishad:  1.3, 21, 4:1, 2.

Vaag vai bramha.  Vachan hee parmeshvar hai.

Bramhabindu Upanishad 16.

Shabdaksharam parambramha,

Shabda hee avinashi parambramha hai.

Rigveda 10:125

Samasta brahmand ki rachana karne tatha sanchalit karne wala param pradhan nayak.

Paapgrasta manav matra ko traan dene nish paap deha mein dhara par aa gaya.

Bhavishya Purana (estimated date of composition 7th Century B.C.)

Pratisarga Parva, Bharat Khanda

Isha murtiha di praptaa nityashuddha shivkari|

Isha masiha eticha mama naama pratishtham ||

Translation:  "The Lord whose glance is eternal, pure, auspicious, and liberating, who is residing in the heart, he is called Isha."

Purush Shubham:  (Sinless and Purest Person)

Balvan Raja Gauranga Shveta Vastrakam:  Purana (Source and reference not clear; directly given some translation)

Translation:  Endowed with God's divine qualities, having a pure body, wearing white clothing, Isha putra (God's son), was born of a virgin (Kumari garbha sambhavam) and Satyavrat parayanam (Sabhya marga ka pratipalak).

    Hare Krsna

There are several processes. But the simplest is recommended by Krsna as follows in BG

    sarva-dharmān parityajya
    mām ekaṁ śaraṇaṁ vraja
    ahaṁ tvāṁ sarva-pāpebhyo
    mokṣayiṣyāmi mā śucaḥ

Abandon all varieties of religion and just surrender unto Me. I shall deliver you from all sinful reactions. Do not fear.

    Purport

The process of surrender to Kṛṣṇa is described in the Hari-bhakti-vilāsa (11.676):

    ānukūlyasya saṅkalpaḥ
    prātikūlyasya varjanam
    rakṣiṣyatīti viśvāso
    goptṛtve varaṇaṁ tathā
    ātma-nikṣepa-kārpaṇye
    ṣaḍ-vidhā śaraṇāgatiḥ

According to the devotional process, one should simply accept such religious principles that will lead ultimately to the devotional service of the Lord. One may perform a particular occupational duty according to his position in the social order, but if by executing his duty one does not come to the point of Kṛṣṇa consciousness, all his activities are in vain. Anything that does not lead to the perfectional stage of Kṛṣṇa consciousness should be avoided. One should be confident that in all circumstances Kṛṣṇa will protect him from all difficulties. There is no need of thinking how one should keep the body and soul together. Kṛṣṇa will see to that. One should always think himself helpless and should consider Kṛṣṇa the only basis for his progress in life. As soon as one seriously engages himself in devotional service to the Lord in full Kṛṣṇa consciousness, at once he becomes freed from all contamination of material nature. There are different processes of religion and purificatory processes by cultivation of knowledge, meditation in the mystic yoga system, etc., but one who surrenders unto Kṛṣṇa does not have to execute so many methods. That simple surrender unto Kṛṣṇa will save him from unnecessarily wasting time. One can thus make all progress at once and be freed from all sinful reactions.

  • Liberation from material contamination is the matter of realized transcendental knowledge.

One who realize not to be this material body, that transcendental eternal soul is just observer and never doer of material activities, that just because of ignorance and illusion think in relation of ''me'' and ''mine'', realizing that this material nature is temporary and illusionary manifestation which blind living beings consider to be real, becomes free from material contamination.

Such liberated soul behave and live according to its realization, but if such soul ignores and disrespects any of three aspects of Absolute Truth, Brahman, Paramatma or Bhagavan, then fall from liberated position is just matter of time.
