Hare Krishna to all,
I would like to have your opinion about a topic that in this last days i'm thinking.
What is the difference, for Krishna, between someone that eat meat and other that don't eat? if the both chant with sincerly heart to Krishna, Krishna will make a difference between the person that eat meat and the other not? If the person eat meat she also can be called "devotee"?
Thank you

Hare Krishna,
In the ISKCON Congregational Programs, the first level (novice), does not have a requirement of Vegetarianism. If you Chant and go to Temple, we accept you.. and so does Sri Krsna.
In order to advance in devotional life, meat-eating must be eventually discarded.

hare krshna..
yes ,in the view of human society there is a difference..... between both who will eat meet and who will not . but in the view of krshna all are equal.he care everyone. look all the rules and regulations kept by our elders in the past, are only to keep u in a proper way ,its only to make ur life beautiful and happy.they say respect ,serve and save ur dharma then it will also help and serve and save u. and our dharma that is the krishna dharma or so called manava dharma says LIVE AND LET LIVE. hurting those animals ,killing them eating them gives u only temporary happiness, after some time the taste of the meat vanishes and hunger is on again . but think as being a human or think as the krishna's man ,look instead eating the meet of that animal instead u feed it. fill its stomach, serve the innocent animals give lot of love to them krishna lies there itself as my gopala said in bagavad gita that he stays in each and every animal from an atom to adam... krishna is everywhere.... serve the needy serve the poor, serve the animals ,there is krishna if u love ur surrounding creatures then krishna will love, because krishna likes those who will lend their hand to those who are in need and love all the creature leaving all the discriminations.. krishna likes everyone, but its about u how u understand his love and get his love... to get him u should be a pious and generous....to everyone.... because he loves the people who are like that because even he behaves the same with u.. dear

If we eat meat, that means we are showing lack of mercy. How would we feel if someone today decided to cut us to pieces and eat us? Not such a good thought, right?
Another thing is - each soul goes through various life forms, as per its karma. Then the soul evolves to the next life form. By killing, we are interfering with this evolution process. Suppose a soul is suppossed to be in an animal body for 30 years, but we have killed that animal in 5 years. That means taht the soul has to take birth again in the same animal species and complete its balance term of 25 years. It has to undergo the pain of death and rebirth because of us. This means taht that soul will have the right to kill us and make us undergo similar pain of death and rebirth. Which means that we ahve to wait till that soul evolves enough to become a human being - because in no other life form, the karma is built up. And in the spiritual world, there is interest on principal - if it is taking long time for our karma to fructify, then the pain could be more because of the interest buildup.
Will Krsna be happy if we pray to Him, but show no mercy to His other son? Krsna has prescribed what can be offered to Him and what can be consumed by human beings. By not following that, do you think we will be making Him happy?
I hope I have been able to explain.
Harbol,
Your servant,
Rashmi
devotee of lord is living being who has devotion for god, therefore devotee can be anyone, even in animal body.
despite the truth that there is no disqualification from the lord to his eternal living beings,
those who has mercy toward other living beings , avoiding making them a material body pain due to their illusion, lord is very pleased. this is called ahimsa or non violence.
person is not following ahimsa by only being vegetarian.
avoiding killing or wounding insects, flies, mosquitoes and other living beings are essential of following ahimsa.
SB 5.26.17 — By the arrangement of the Supreme Lord, low-grade living beings like bugs and mosquitoes suck the blood of human beings and other animals. Such insignificant creatures are unaware that their bites are painful to the human being. However, first-class human beings — brāhmaṇas, kṣatriyas and vaiśyas — are developed in consciousness, and therefore they know how painful it is to be killed. A human being endowed with knowledge certainly commits sin if he kills or torments insignificant creatures, who have no discrimination. The Supreme Lord punishes such a man by putting him into the hell known as Andhakūpa, where he is attacked by all the birds and beasts, reptiles, mosquitoes, lice, worms, flies, and any other creatures he tormented during his life. They attack him from all sides, robbing him of the pleasure of sleep. Unable to rest, he constantly wanders about in the darkness. Thus in Andhakūpa his suffering is just like that of a creature in the lower species.
