By reading, hearing ...we get and our next duty should be to share with others what we got from books, Devotees.
For example, HH Bhakti Tirtha Swami Maharaj when he was a Brahmachari used to wake up at 2 AM chant his 48 rounds and used to leave for book distribution till late evenings. He used to say that if i do not go for book distribution today some people won't have chance to get mercy of Prabhupada.
Then at night before sleep he used to drink milk with some dates. And it was his life for many many years.
In this way whatever free time we have we have to use it for helping others. Krishna says that that one is dear to Me who preaches about My glories.
Or Mitra Prabhuji, You also can try with joining brahmachari ashram for at least 1 year, then for sure You will know how to use Your every second for Krishna.

P.S. i do not know why some Devotees - Prabhus do not take training in brahmachari ashram?! It is for their benefit only. Only 1st class brahmachari can become a 1st class Grihastha. Without spiritual training we will be grihamedhis.

preaching, mostly i like to just go to the Temple and attend Kirtans.
Take care of Deities. Sew for Them, clean the house for Them.
Basically if we live in the association of Devotees whether as a housewife or as a brahmachari we won't have time for idle things. Serving to each members of the family or Devotees at the Temple time not only runs but flies.
But for modern students it is little bit different plus if they stay at the hostel. Besides reading i used to write, write prayers, diary, preach, increase my rounds...
