I chanted 16 rounds daily for 15 years until my Guru left. My Guru left the movement in 2002. I am just a "fringe devotee" now. Just curious. Any Guesses are welcome. Thanks.

First of all I commend you on your sincerity. I can just guess your present situation after your guru left the movement.
But there is hope and only hope given by Lord Himself to any one who has entered the path of devotion according to Srimad Bhagabat Gita. Personally I feel if you could continue chanting in whatever state you are you can get back your taste . Do not over -analyze yourself and just see if you can continue chanting whatever way (mentally included).We all are deficient in one way or other including gurus(unless Lord Himself comes as our Guru as He came for Arjuna).Otherwise,gurus themselves can be at different levels of Jeeva tattwa. Praying for the mercy of SRIMATI RADHARANI ,the inner potency of SRI KRISHNA gives us the strength to understand the goal and that is devotion for SACHIDANANDA (SAT, CHIT,ANANDA SWARUPA) SRI KRISHNA.Bottom line is there is always hope for any one who has entered the path of devotion even for a moment.

Srila Prabhupada also was very sick and very old over 70 when He started to preach in USA. In this way yes it is difficult but Krishna will help!
He can do impossible things possible! We should just cry for His mercy. He will help us through His Devotees or directly. If You beg Him to give You strength to chant at least 16 rounds then He will give. All power and qualities come only from Him. For example nowadays sannyasi Gurus are not perfectly healthy and not young over 50-60 but they are traveling all over the Earth. Srila Prabhupada told that he wants to be like Arjuna - fight and die in the battle field.

Dear Mataji, i also meet many Devotees whose Guru left maybe as like Your in 2002. But they took shelter in other Gurus and now some of them are became initiating Gurus. In this way, what if You also think about it? Yes, to accept a Guru!
And by the mercy of Guru we get strengths to be in Krishna Consciousness.
Please, do not say about next life! Katvanga Maharaja perfected his life within seconds. Krishna Consciousness is so powerful that even if we are in our last breathes we can surrender to Krishna and go back to Godhead.
Just try Your best, become enthusiastic and start everything with new determination! Age is not hindrance in Krishna Consciousness. We are souls!
Soul is always youthful!

Hare Krishna. I am suffering from depression and other health problems and am not chanting 16 rounds a day. Therefore, I am ineligible to get initiated again. However, I am hoping that my past chanting will at least give me a human birth in the next life. Hopefully, I will take birth into a devotee family in my next life.

There is a solution for depression for sure.
Please do nt get depressed.I will suggest you hear HHRNSM Prerna lecture"overcoming depression".
Regarding ur health problems,try your best.There are things in our hand and there are things which are not.
We can try our best and remember that we are not the controllers.
Please definitely try to chant 16 rounds with best of your ability but even then if you are not able to do, then do as many as possible keeping the number constant.
Please pray to Lord Krsna, Narsimhadev and take association of sincere devotees.
Krsna will surely help u
