Viddhi Marg and Raga Marg.

""""""""""""So Radha-Krishna philosophy is a very great philosophy. It is to be understood in the liberated stage. Radha-Krishna philosophy is not to be understood in the conditioned stage. But when we worship Radha-Krishna in our conditional stage, actually we worship Laksmi-Narayana. You have seen that picture, this viddhi-marg and raga-marg.

Radha-Krishna worship is on the platform of pure love, and Laksmi-Narayana worship is on the regulative principles.

So long we do not develop our pure love, we have to worship on the regulative principles. One has to become a brahmachari, one has to become a sannyasi, one has to perform the worship in this way, in the morning he has to rise, he has to offer. So many rules and regulations. There are at least sixty-four rules and regulations. So we shall introduce them gradually as you develop. So in the viddhi-marg, when you have no love for God or Krishna, we have to follow the regulative principles and automatically..., there is practice. When practicing. Just like you practice this mridanga playing. In the beginning it is not in order, but when you become well versed in the practice, the sound will come so nice. Similarly, when we are engaged by regulative principles in the worship of Radha-Krishna, that is called viddhi-marg. And actually when you are on the love platform, then that is called raga-marg. So without viddhi-marg, if anyone wants to learn the raga-marg immediately, that is foolishness. That is foolishness. Nobody can pass M.A. examination without going through the regulative principles of primary schools and colleges. So therefore I do not, I mean to say, indulge in the discussions of Radha and Krishna so easily. Rather go on with the regulative principle at the present moment. Gradually, as you become purified, as you become on the transcendental platform, you'll understand what is Radha-Krishna. Don't try to understand Radha-Krishna very quickly. It is a very big subject. If we want to understand Radha-Krishna very quickly, then there will be so many prakrita-sahajiyas. In India there are prakrita-sahajiya. Just like Radha-Krishna dancing. Radha-Krishna has become a plaything. The painting Radha-Krishna, Krishna is kissing Radha, Radha is kissing. These are all nonsense. Radha-Krishna philosophy has to be understood by the liberated person, not by the conditioned soul. So we shall await for the fortunate moment when we are liberated, then we shall understand radha- krishna-pranaya-vikrtir. Because Krishna and Radha, They are not on the material field. Try to understand. This is Jiva Gosvami's analysis, that Krishna is the Supreme Brahman. The Supreme Brahman cannot accept anything material. So Radha is not in the material field. """"""""""

Even I got this info from Many Iskcon Sanyassis.

Can any Gaudiya Vaishnava help me understand Viddhi Marg. how in the conditioned stage we are worshipping Lakshmi Narayan even when we are worshiping Radha Krishna ?

I understand that we are in Vaidhi Bhakti stage and have not developed the love for Krishna as expected in Bhava and prema stage. but how we are worshiping Narayana in Krishna form(though both are the same person) .

I heard from Iskcon Sanyasis that the original inhabitants in the villages of Vrindavan even today are in Raga marg.please throw some light on it.

My intention is to get correct knowledge not to create confusion. Please dont write conflicting posts is my humble request. This is not intended to create difference between Krishna and Narayan or who is the original personality of godhead.

Hare Krishna, prabhu!!! In Vaikuntha, the primary rasa is dasya rasa. In vaidhi bhaki, one accepts the Supreme Personality of Godhead as the Master and himself as servant. So Laksmi-Narayan deity is compatible with the rasa in vaidhi bhakti. Raga bhakti is worshipping Krishna in attachment. It is an outflow of spontaneous love and the primary rasas are vatsalya, sakhya and madhurya. Only Krishna can reciprocate such kind of love and such spontaneous love can be found only in the Holy Land of Vraj. The Vrajvasis are not ready to accept Krishna as God but as their dear one. Krishna also sheds the aura of reverence and supremacy and loves everyone as His own.

Hare Krsna devotee,   it is not an easy subject to understand.   The love of the residents of vrndavana cannot be imitated.    Such unalloyed love is described in bhakti rasamrta sindhu as being without any personal motivation for material gain or even for liberation.     it is not just some sentimental feeling.

it is beyond the realm of sense gratification both subtle and gross.     that spontaneous love comes from the soul.

So do I have such unmotivated selfless desire to serve Krsna?

That requires the guidance of the expert spiritual master who knows the complete science of Krsna consciousness.      and that guidance is confidential and not ever revealed in public.  even the most advanced devotees generally follow vaidhi bhakti externally to set example for all other devotees.

So you may worship Radha Krsna but without that unalloyed devotion there will always be some reverence, fear.      Such worship will not attain Goloka Vrndavana.     you will attain Vaikuntha.

By careful study of the bhakti rasamrta sindhu this is clearly understood.    Hare Krsna.

The present residents of Vrndavan have a special relationship with Krsna coming from previous births.

Therefore it is said their devotion is spontaneous and cannot be understood by us.

I hope this helps you to understand something.    Hare Krsna.
