why is Lord Shiva worship older than Vaishnav worship ?

To bewilder the bogus mayavadis or fake spiritualists

why is there so much difference between the deities in the 4 Vedas and Puranas ?

The following Shloka is narrated by Lord Shiva himself to his son in Skanda Purana.

    shiva-shastreshu tad grahyam

    bhagavac-chastra-yogi yat

    paramo vishnur evaikas

    taj jnanam moksha-sadhanam

    shastranam nirnayas tv

    eshas tad anyan mohanaya hi

The statements of the Saiva scriptures should be accepted only when they agree with the Vaishnava scriptures. Lord Vishnu is the only Supreme Lord, and knowledge of Him is the path to liberation. That is the conclusion of all the scriptures. Any other conclusions are meant only to bewilder the people.

Please supply some examples with refs.

: why in Padma Puran patal khanda chapter 114 Lord Shiva said to Lord Vishnu that he doesnot need to worship anyone but does so for benefit of people

To show the way, see BG 3.21 (yad yad acarati sresthas).

: why is Lord Shiva worship older than Vaishnav worship

    Where is that stated?

Many historians state that the oldest temple is of Lord Shiva which is about 10,000 years old and about the deities in the 4 Vedas they are Indra, Agni etc while the Puranas consider Lord Shiva, Lord Vishnu etc as Gods

        So ?

        Hare Krsna

      • Some temples are stated to be replacements of older temples from previous yugas. So the age of current temples doesn't mean much. Historians also have their paradigms and agendas.

In Germany archeologists found a mammoth tusk carved into a half-man half-lion figure, dated more than 35 000 years. See Lion-man at en wiki.

The 4 Vedas have as their goal Svarga so they feature prominently devas like Indra, Agni etc. Still, Purusa sukta for Visnu, Sri sukta for Laksmi or Manyu sukta for Nrsimha (or Siva) also appear in Rig Veda.

A lot of words have been poured above, but not a single citation from any bonafide scripture has been given.

The supreme origin of everything manifest and unmanifest is the Supreme Personality of Godhead Lord Sri - Krishna. He is a person. Lord Sri Krsna does have impersonal features like brahmajyoti, energy, Time etc. But the topmost manifestation is the personal manifestation - Sri Krsna

      īśvaraḥ paramaḥ kṛṣṇaḥ
      sac-cid-ānanda-vigrahaḥ
      anādir ādir govindaḥ
      sarva-kāraṇa-kāraṇam

Kṛṣṇa who is known as Govinda is the Supreme Godhead. He has an eternal blissful spiritual body. He is the origin of all. He has no other origin and He is the prime cause of all causes. ( Brahma Samhita 5.1)

The above clearly states that the origin of everything is the personality of Sri Krsna. Further Lord Sri Krsna in Bhagavad Gita states that the impersonal feature of Brahman is resting upon to His personality.

      brahmaṇo hi pratiṣṭhāham
      amṛtasyāvyayasya ca
      śāśvatasya ca dharmasya
      sukhasyaikāntikasya ca

And I am the basis of the impersonal Brahman, which is immortal, imperishable and eternal and is the constitutional position of ultimate happiness.( Bg 14.27)
