Tulasi Arti

Hare Krishna PEMHO AGTSP.

The question that has come up is, which is more proper, to sing the Sanskrit or recite the English translation first when the Tulasi Arti begins? Different Temples do this in different ways.  So which way was is the proper way?  Which way did Srila Prabhupada say it should be done? Or is it a none issue and can be done either way?

Thank you

your always ready and willing servant

Srila Prabhupad was asked this. He said, recitation of sanskrit prayers is a must. Other language translation can be before or after and it is optional based on requirements of local people.

    • Thank you Prabhu,  do you know is this is written anywhere that Prabhupada said this.  or maybe on a audio tape?

Based on my remembrance SP said this in a letter. I can't give the precise reference but you can search for it.
