To clear some observed doubts .

Hare Krishna 🙏😇

PAMHO

Can someone please clear my 2 doubts

1. I have seen in my family and elsewhere also that whenever snake comes mostly in rainy season then people kill the snake because they say that if we will not kill him then snake will kill us and prabhupad says in bhagwad Geeta that if someone  gives us poison then  there is no sin in killing that entity .

So if we kill a snake to save ourselves then will it be a sin?

2. My friend's  family organises ramayan every year in a hanuman ji's temple which is in their  village.

Once her brother  said that from now we will organise ramayan in hanumanji's temple which is near our house so that people can  easily come their because in villages it is difficult to reach during rainy season.

When he said that..

then after 1 or 2 days his wife felt ill then in report  doctor said that her one kidney is failed.

Then they went in a place where bheruji came in someone and advised them to organise ramayan in your village itself and in that same temple.

Then again her brother's wife was tested and this time in report her kidney was normal Just by accepting this advice.

But my confusion in this is that why Hanuman ji will deny if we will organise the same Ramayan in different temple but of same hanuman ji?

Please clear my doubt 🙏

    1. your first question is related to snake killing- though i am undeserving to say anything authentic as per scriptures but just through my understanding i will say that it depends on the situation we got stuck. krishna understands our situation as pranavi mataji said.

    2. regarding this case, i will say this is very popular , ppl say - this happened becoz such change has been occured in such ritual and all , but i think this is all due to fearful nature of jivas. and their forgetfulness of their own identity which is soul. the one who does pure devotion which is based on true love with lord dont feel any fear and makes every place devotional wherever he goes.

we are not at that much pure devotional level but if such conditions arise our approach to deal them should be positive and if we speculate these situations according to our mind then we should speculate them positively as radha mataji said , we should avoid doubting speculation regarding lord.

i may be wrong but just shared my views with the hope that thy may help .

    thanks

Thanku so much for sharing your views.

And u r right mataji by pure devotional service we can make any place pure.

    Hare Krsna

So if we kill a snake to save ourselves then will it be a sin?

No, but there is no way to know if we are killing snake to save ourselves. Majority of snakes are not poisonous. Most people don't know which snakes are poisonous. So unless someone is sure that the snake is poisonous and it is likely to kill us, better not kill.

Personally I am very scared of snakes. They came inside my room on three occassions. Once it was on my bed and I killed it because I got very scared. Later someone told me it was not a poisonous snake.  After 2 years, I realized what I did was a mistake and performed specific pujas to free myself from the sin. All snakes are considered children of Ananta Shesha who is gratest devotee of Lord.

Yes they can be harmful, but killing should be avoided as far as possible. If it is not avoidable then, it can't be avoided. Then one may be required to do certain puja. This is not from Prabhupada books or from devotional service point of view. Just to make sure you do not get the sin. This comes under karma kanda type of activity.

    2. Why Hanuman ji will deny if we will organise the same Ramayan in different temple but of same hanuman ji?

Please do not read too much into such "miracle" stories. Doctors and medical tests may not be 100% accurate.

    Hare Krsna

    • Thanku so much for sharing your own experience and for providing solutions to my problem.

      I got the point.

      It was a great help.

just like radha rasamayi mataji, even I'm just telling what I feel is right

    1. I actually live in a place which has kind of a forest behind it, so many snakes come in our house too. We usually just leave them somewhere else but if we have to kill them we do it with a sorrowful mood. In fact I even stopped killing mosquitos or ants because Krishna resides in them too. but sometimes you can't help it! but don't worry Lord Krishna understands our situation

    2. For this just observe the temple near your house. It could be that there are some impious activities or karmkanda going on (just thinking of the possibilities) because Hanuman Ji is such a great vaishnava that he would listen to ram katha anywhere but it could be that that temple is on the karmkanda level. Or it could also be a simple coincidence! who knows? but I'm really happy for your brother's wife and may she always remain healthy and surrendered to krishna!

    • Thanku so much mataji for your guidance and support

Now i understood the possible reasons  why Hanuman ji was denying by the mercy of you and radha rasmayi mataji 🙏

    Hare Krsna Mataji,

    PAMHO.

I am not clear what is the ask here - we can asnwer what is mentioned in revealed scriptures, not what is lok katha or happens in anyone's life.

I can give you answers for the questions you posed, but that is my understanding/ interpretation of the situation. Anyone else can have a completely different understanding/ reading othe situation.

    1) Killing a snake - yes Srila Prabhupada has said that. But we live in cities, not exposed to snakes coming out in rainy season. Therefore, practical experience of the same is not there for me to comment.

    2) It appears that Hanumanji wanted the Ramayan paath in the same temple. Maybe there is some special significance of that temple that we dont know. Maybe some devotee attends in that temple who is unable to go to the other temple for any reason. Maybe with so many years of Ramayan paath happening in that temple, some tej has come there.

Like I said, all the above is my mental speculation. Who knows?

    Haribol,

    Your servant,

    Radha Rasamayi DD

    • Actually mataji where i  live there is an empty plot so from there one snake came few years ago.

And in my village also this happens so that's why i was asking.

Thanku so much mataji for giving such an amazing and convincing points about Hanuman ji's temple 🙏😇
