I have some questions to ask

first of all

why do some people claim that the Vaishnava puranas are not authentic and the Vaishnava Upanishads are not veidic? Some even say that the puranas should only be accepted once they are accepted by the Vedas and therefore the Vaishnava puranas are not accurate 

also an unscrupulous person told me that narayana param Brahma tattvas narayana parah is the wrong translation of the Narayana suktam he told me that it is Narayana param-Brahmatattva Narayana parah 

And he uses this interopolation to say that Narayana is actually a lesser manifestation of Sri shiva…and he was actually a Rishi who became a Brahma tattva by his merit

listening to all this had made my mind feel very disturbed as for the past one year I have completely surrendered myself unto the transcendental service of Sri Krishna paramatma who I believe to be the supreme personality of godhead and the source to all the plenary portions of godhead

but right now I myself do not know what to do to right now because of all these unscrupulous commentaries by the Shaivas and the smartas

how do I deal with all this? 

Someone please be my Sri Krishna like bhagavan himself was to Arjuna, which in this case is clearly me.
