Strange Voices

My close relative is hearing strange suggestions from her mind. How to cure it?

For example, she says: "I am hearing a voice that he is a CBI officer."

Her date of birth is 20 April 1957.
This started in 1989.

She hears voices that tell her about the people in our life.

She was detected with schizophrenia. She is sleeping normally.

She is an ISKCON devotee and chants 16 rounds.

She had varicose veins and her weight had reached 104 Kg
Recently she joined herbalife and lost 20 kgs in 6 months.

What should I suggest to better her condition?
It can be a devotional solution or an Ayurvedic solution or whatever. I am open to all suggestions.

For example: I asked ChatGPT. It says: -
1. Set Boundaries: She can try to tell the voices, "I am busy now, I will not listen," to gain a sense of control.
2. We should tell her: “I understand this feels real and upsetting for you.”

  • See my answer https://iskcondesiretree.com/forum/topics/confused-about-chanting

She can chant/listen to various 108 or 1008 names, stutis etc. from YT to check if there is any effect. If not, the problem is most probably medical, not subtle.

  • Hare Krishna,

She should continue regular treatment with a psychiatrist

because hearing voices in Schizophrenia usually improves most with proper medical care and family support.

Do not argue with the voices or confirm them as true; calmly say, “I understand this feels real to you,” and help her stay peaceful with routine, sleep, chanting, light exercise, and supportive association.

Hope with medication the condition will improve soon.

    Hare Krishna
