Is Lord Vishnu avatar of Sri Krishna or Sri Krishna avatar of Lord Vishnu ? In many scriptures like Caitanya Caritamrta and Srimad Bhagavatam it is mentioned that Lord Vishnu is portion of portion of Sri Krishna while in Vishnu Purana it is mentioned that Sri Krishna is 8th avatar of Lord Vishnu? Which is true and why do they seem contradictory ?
Did Sri Krishna also create Maya and Kaal Purush ? Pls provide scriptural reference

In Caitanya Caritamrta and Srimad Bhagavatam, there is a tradition of respecting Sri Krishna as the highest form of Lord Vishnu, and Lord Vishnu is considered a part of Sri Krishna. This shows respect and focus on Sri Krishna as the vital and supreme element of Vishnu-tattva (Vishnu personality). This is tantamount to saying that Sri Krishna has all the aspects and attributes of Lord Vishnu, and is the most complete form of Vishnu.

Visnu P. is written by Parasara Muni, so it's his view, followed e.g. by Ramanuja and Madhva samparadayas.
Gaudiya siddhanta is in Krisna sandarbha with lots of quotes. I mean lots.
To put it simply: Visnu/Krisna - a difference in bhava only, "God in the office" / "God at home"

The answer to this question is that sloka of bhagwatam , ete chanskala pusam, krsnas tu bhagwan swayam, read prabhupad's purport on it but it is mere information you will get by reading it. dont give importance to such information, focus more on chanting then automatically you will know everything.
