The aim of visiting a temple is to associate with devotees and engage in devotional service.
One should engage in devotional service under the guidance of one's spiritual master.
The devotee should approach the spiritual master and ask: "Dear spiritual master, what can I do to serve you?". The spiritual master will give orders to the disciple.
That is alright, big cities are not in the mode of goodness, but if your intention is to visit the temple of Radha-Krsna there, then it is a different thing. As explained here in :
Srimad-Bhagavatam 7.14.33
Wherever Radha-Krsna Deities are worshipped must all be visited by those who want to be spiritually advanced.

The Krsna consciousness movement is giving the population of the entire world a chance to take advantage of Krsna consiousness through the ISKCON centers, where one may perform Deity worship and chant the Hare Krsna maha-mantra and in this way obtain results with effectiveness increased a thousand times. This constitutes the best welfare activity for human society. This was Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu's mission as it was predicted by Him:
However, in the age of Kaliyuga, it is not feasible to visit all sacred places, as human life span is limited. Hence, the most prudent course is to devote ourselves wholeheartedly to the constant chanting of Shri Krishna’s holy name. Harī Harī.
