              • Hare Kṛṣṇa, Gaurav.

Please don't argue with this kid. I personally feel sorry that his parents didn't teach him basic etiquette when speaking to elders. He's simply displaying his usual behavior, nothing more than that.

I've already made my point. Whether he understands it or not is up to him. After all, I'm not his parent, and it's not my responsibility to teach him manners or keep explaining the difference between right and wrong. Hari Hari.

                    • Hare Kṛṣṇa, AstroKid!

It's ironic to preach about civilization while behaving like this. I've noticed that whenever the argument becomes difficult for you, you abandon reasoning and start diagnosing strangers from behind a keyboard.

Your comments follow the exact same formula every single time:

                      • Declare the other person mentally ill.
                      • Add "hahaha."
                      • Spam emojis.
                      • Repeat "slum dweller" or "aukaat."
                      • Leave without addressing the actual points.

The funniest part is that you repeatedlyq claim you're "not offended," yet you write long, emotional paragraphs after every reply. Someone who truly isn't bothered doesn't have to keep announcing it.

Always remember, kid: if debates were judged by repetition instead of reasoning, AstroKid would be undefeated. But unfortunately, debates are won with proper logical arguments, not with recycled insults, emoji spam, and the same copy-paste accusations in every comment. Be mature and know your limits. This isn't your maternal home, so behave accordingly and respect everyone. Hari Hari.

  • Hare Krishna,

Tempeh is made of soya bean and fermented with a specific mold ( rhizopus oligosporous).  It is an alternative source of protien for those who are trying to be a vegan ( avoiding milk ).

But, If you are a devotee, I would say pls. avoid as there is this mold used for fermentation.

YOGURT /Curd it is fermented naturally without any addition of any bacteria or molds.

Idly ( it is a south Indian breakfast Item) that is fermented too. . DOsa ( south indian breakfast item is also fermented dish). These are fermented by keeping them overnight in a warm place and it gets fermented on its own.

Do, you understand what I mean to say. Something that doesn't need adding some mold like yeast, fungus etc. naturally fermented stuff are allowed.

Preferred sources of proteins for Vegans are:

You could seen many plant based proteins have higher protein values than beef and chicken also.

If you have so many options why go for moldy food.............WHICH CANNOT BE OFFERED TO KRISHNA ?

    • Thank you very much for the clarification. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

Mushrooms and yeast cannot be offered to Krishna because they are in the mode of ignorance. But is eating them considered a direct sin (pāpa) like eating meat, or is it simply an obstacle to our spiritual practice (bhakti)?

To be a bit more precise How does Vaiṣṇava jurisprudence distinguish between an act of sin (karma-bandhana) and an act that simply lowers one's consciousness (tamo-guṇa), specifically regarding non-offerable but vegetarian items like fungi and fermented yeast?

I am asking this because in the hustle and bustle of our daily life, we often go for ready made easy foods like breads and all which contains commercial yeast. I know it's better to avoid them and have hand made chapati but while staying in at hostel in a time crunch situation if one consumes bread out of convenience, then will he/she end up commiting a sin?

      Looking forward to your reply.
      🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

      • Better to avoid those substances that lower the consciousness. But then is is far better than killing animals with well developed nevous system.

To be frank even fruits, roots, plants are also live forms. Only when we offer them to Krishna they are to be partaken.

If you eat without offering them you are going to get the sin of killing the fruit and plant  also.

Anything which is unofferable to Krishna how can you eat them? It is just like eating stool.

yes, Bread which contains yeast and fungi are better avoided but if unavoidable it is far far better than killing animals and eating them.

Only I would suggest you to offer it to Krishna whatever you eat and then only eat.

Even if it is a store brought bread.. Say... Krishna, Today I got this a my meal. I offer the same. Please make this food a Prasadam.  I am sorry I could get this only today for eating. Pls. consider this offering pure as I'm offering with love.  May the countless jeev ( bacteria, viruses and yeast, fungi) which I am killing in the process of making food or while chewing and grinding the food all get a higher birth and should be able to take Krishna's name in their next birth. Thank you for accepting the food I am offering even though it is contaminated with unseen life forms which are unknowingly and knowingly being killed. May all life forms reach your tummy to get the next birth a human birth so that they get to chant the holy name.

        Hare Krishna
