All the trouble in the world, the wars, terrorism, financial crisis, pain and suffering, it's all due to one thing and one thing alone. People want Laxmi without Narayana.
Five thousand years ago, at the beginning of this age of Kali, Radharani was whisked off into the world of the occult. As a result most mainstream religions were severely damaged. Priests, Rabbis, Ministers, Pastors and whatnot, were ill equipped to offer healthy or worthwhile advice to anyone regarding standard issues having to do with the relationship dynamic. The created gap was filled by a whole new profession. Suddenly along with lawyers, accountants, architects, engineers, etc., etc., there was a new group coming out of nowhere called psychologists. People lost their faith in the ability of "men of the cloth" to help them but they still needed counsel and advice and so this new group appeared to offer their help. Previously, if I had a problem, I could go to a respected elder, guru or sannyasi and, if he was well versed in the Vedas, he would be able to help me. If he required anything in return for his help that might indicate he didn't really have the shakti needed to really help me.
This new group of helpers not only require a hefty fee for their services but also, among all professionals have the worst statistics for divorce, suicide and drug abuse. Yet if I have a personal problem, some emotional difficulty or a moral dilemma, that's who I'm encouraged to go to for help.
The four qualities that set Krishna apart from all other Vishnu expansions are: 1. He plays the flute 2. He has unrivaled beauty 3. He has amazing (especially His childhood) pastimes and ... ta da! 4. He is always accompanied by His loving associates. That, of course, includes Radharani. :)

In once sense Srimati Radharani comes from Krishna
As per Gaudiya understanding - Srimati Radharani can't be worshiped alone. She is always worshiped along with Krishna.
The reason we worship Radharani with Krishna is because we pray to Radharani to engage us is Krishna's service.
Krishna is in one sense complete and original cause of every thing at the same time be always likes to be with Radharani - His internal potency.
