I have a few questions about karma and deliverance from the clutches of the material world.
How Krishna liberates us from sins? How chanting His name removes our sins? (The science behind it)
If anyone can surrender unto Krishna then can a terrorist surrender unto Krishna and get liberated in one birth?

JUst to add to what the others have said, recently in a lecture i heard that the qualification in Kaliyuga to get mercy of Lord Chaitanya is - the biggest sinner gets the biggest mercy. Lord Chaitanya nad Lord Nityananda appeared to deliver the most fallen of fallen souls. THat of course does not mean that we commit sin, it means that we are eligible and should take advantage of this and get mercy. Even one moment of full surrender is enough to deliver us.
The taste of the pudding is in the earing prabhu. If you want to experience getting pure, chant prabhu.
Krsna is bigger than any science, He doesnt need a scientific formula to remove sins. He has promised, that is enough for us to believe.

Yes, Krsna promises this in Bhagavad Gita
sarva-dharmān parityajya
mām ekaṁ śaraṇaṁ vraja
ahaṁ tvāṁ sarva-pāpebhyo
mokṣayiṣyāmi mā śucaḥ
Abandon all varieties of religion and just surrender unto Me. I shall deliver you from all sinful reactions. Do not fear. ( BG 18.66)
Krsna is not specific about who surrenders. It could be a terrorist, child murderer, corrupt politician, thief etc anyone who completely surrenders to Krsna will be liberated. They may not even need one full birth.
How Krishna liberates us from sins ?
I don't know, but I need not be bothered about it. Liberating me is Krsna's task. My focus is on I surrendering to Krsna. If I hold my end of the bargain, it doesn't matter to me how He liberates me.
How chanting His name removes our sins ?
ceto-darpaṇa-mārjanaṁ bhava-mahā-dāvāgni-nirvāpaṇaṁ
śreyaḥ-kairava-candrikā-vitaraṇaṁ vidyā-vadhū-jīvanam
ānandāmbudhi-vardhanaṁ prati-padaṁ pūrṇāmṛtāsvādanaṁ
sarvātma-snapanaṁ paraṁ vijayate śrī-kṛṣṇa-saṅkīrtanam
‘Let there be all victory for the chanting of the holy name of Lord Kṛṣṇa, which can cleanse the mirror of the heart and stop the miseries of the blazing fire of material existence. That chanting is the waxing moon that spreads the white lotus of good fortune for all living entities. It is the life and soul of all education. The chanting of the holy name of Kṛṣṇa expands the blissful ocean of transcendental life. It gives a cooling effect to everyone and enables one to taste full nectar at every step.’ ( CC Antya 20.12)

Well, You must understand what exactly the word " SURRENDER" mean.
What does it mean to you?
When you surrender to someone it means you stopped all judgements, stopped all feeling that you know something, Stopped all feelings that you are something actually and can do something on your own. You are in helpless condition.
Have you seen after a war the enemy king is captured with his family and dragged to the court of the king who won? The enemy King who lost the battle if he still feeling pride and wont bend his knees and head in front of this king what will happen to him? he is either beheaded or his family tortured until the king accepts that he is done., lost all hope and he bows down and surrenders his pirde and ego everything ( maan samaan, abhimaan) that is what surrendering mean. When you lose EGO that you are something and can do something on your own. that is the stage of bhakti when Lord will show HIS grace.
What happened to Gajendra in Gajendra moksha? At first when Gajendra( elephant) was caught by the crocodile his family and friends tried frist to remove him from clutches, then they left thinking ya he is done for the crocodile caught him too badly and then Gajendra fought with the crocodile himself that he can so something as he believed in his own strength ( first family friends support, then his own strength) then he lost all power to fight became totally powerless and accepted that He cannot do anything now. That time he was reminded of Lord as , gajendra was actually a Vishnu bhakt in previous birth but got cursed to become an elephant as he was prideful at that time and hurt a sage in pride. Now see Lord wanted to teach him a lesson that pride and ego beauty and friends all will go with time. So why hold on to that false pride? and when Gajendra gave up the false ego. He became humble and accepted sharnagati or Surrender to Supreme Personality of Godhead and thus got moksha.
NowThere is another way of losing pride or ego. When You fall in love .. People say " I fell in love" what does it actually mean?
Your "I" falls down in love. When "I' which represents the ego falls then only one can surrender and love another. The person who is highly egoistic cannot love another he is always self -centered. Such a person cannot love anyone but only himself. And Love means selfless giving. So love to Krishna makes one totally humble and accept the servitude position as in love we lose control on one self .. we give our controls to another.
If you surrender in such a way only Krishna will accept your chanting or pooja. that is called Sarvasya Sharnagati. At all times I am completely subordinate to you. I am hopelss, I did many mistakes in life, every minute I keep on doing mistakes even with my intention or without intention. I cannot myself on my own power of self cannot cut these Karmic bondages and get Mukti. Pls. help Krishna. Save Me!!!!!!!! this type of sharnagti only Krishna accepts.

Ah.. this looks so simple isn't it? but actually surrender is not so easy. We must lose our false ego totally then only we can get the special grace of Lord. We have so much pride in us.
One lady thinks she is beauty queen. Another person thinks he is richest of all. Another person thinks he is cleverest of all. yet another one thinks he is bravest of all. Another thinks he is biggest bhakta of all. These are few types of egos to name. Even a bhakts are not spared by the false ego. Tests to the Ego are there at so many levels and we keep failing. The one who thinks all is given by Lord and Lord is owner of all and even me. I am nothing.. this idea should be formed. I am simply saying I am part and parcel of Lord but internally If i feel I am so great. Whats the point?
If you are part and parcel of God that means nothing is done by you. You practically don't exist. You are exisiting as a part of Lord. If Lord wants to move his finger He can move it as it is His body part isn't it.. If the finger starts thinking I am moving because of my own self it is finger's false ego only.
Surrender is a big topic to simply discuss itself to implement and practice it .. it is going to take a life time or many life times.
