Question about God

Hi All,

My question is if God is one why everyone wants to use a particular name and not other?

Is name important whether Hindu call it Krishna or other religion call it by different name?

ur question is quite intresting , look ur thinkin is rite but ur questioning for simple matter is not so rite....

look u have ur family rite, u r having father , mother, brother , sister ,if u are marriewd u will having ur wife, cousin , ur children, and at ur office u have ur boss, ur subordinate and so on....... in this society.

ur parents call u prashant, ur brother and sister call u bhai (bro), ur wife call us prashantji(may with some cute pet names like shonu, sweetu and all) children call u papa(dad),ur friends call u dude or buddy ,ur boss calls ur Mr.prashant sindhwad ur subordinate call u sir..... and u reply them.

did observe onething all different people  are calling u in different names  but only u r the person who reply .

same it is applicable to god call in watever names , infinite many  names to him but only he is the person to reply.

look know one knows  wether it is a POWER or PERSON above there but onething is for graunted that there is a super natural power  which is governing us.

Krishna , Allah, Christ are all one and the same. we hindu chant OM,muslims brothers chant AMEN,christian brothers chant OMEN, spell in whatever way u want reply comes from that supernatural power, all religions , all casts, we are all the children who have out of the same womb of that super natural power.labeling and identifying or specifying lead us to individuality and loneliness.

i have explained it  to u up to my knowledge , if any mistakes please excuse thinking that im ur brother.

    Hare Krsna Prabhuji,

    PAMHO.

Have you seen a small child in a large joint family - all members will have their own special name for the child which reflects their affection for the child. Does the child not respond to each and every name? What do you think the child is responding to - the name or the affection with which the name is called? THat same way, if a small child, affectionate to so many, can have many names, imagine how many more names God can have? And imagine in how many different moods and different levels of devotion, the lord's devotees call out His names. The lord accepts all their moods and all their names. Does that make sense?

    Haribol,

    Your servant,

    Rashmi

"All living entities in creation are inspired by the Lord in the heart to act in different ways. People of different religions praise the Lord's holy names and qualities according to the view of their scriptures. The Supreme Lord accepts everyone's mood. If anyone shows malice towards another's religion he actually shows malice to the Lord Himself, who is worshiped by that religion. Since God is one, that person becomes envious of the same Supreme Lord that he himself is worshiping."

  • U call him Allah krishna Shiv as u r choice it doesn'T matter.... Matter is u r intention... Actually religion is a path which brings human closer to God....it keeps limits on human what to do or not to.....So if u think in a postive way u will find how important is our religion...........but on basis of God he is one u can call him wahtevr u want to....but really dat matter is U r intention behind d call....or ur devotionn.......:)
