Qualities are of soul or body?

we say tht one is humble, honest, kind, rude, angry, jealously like wise.

so my question is tht these qualities belong to his body or soul?

if thy are of body then why do these qualities carried by soul in next birth?

or if thy are of soul then how a soul can be of rude nature if its a part of lord? or if evry nature comes frm krsna then wht is the problem in being rude, angered? why it is forced on being merciful, honest ?

why there is discrimination tht these qualities are gud nd these are bad?

evrthing is frm krsna then evry quality must be treated as gud?

confusion hi confusion hai...............

    Hare Krsna

Qualities of conditioned souls are present in their subtle body.

Thinking Krsna doesn't have material body so no qualities is mayavadi philosophy.

Thinking Krsna has qualities so he must have gross/ subtle body is mayavada philosophy

Krsna is completely spiritual, He has spiritual qualities. It was also mentioned earlier that soul has spiritual qualities. Please do not confuse yourself and invite comments from mayavadi commentators.

Krsna allows a living entity to choose what he wishes to do.

If a particular jiva has chosen to be in material realm then only that jiva and Krsna know why/how the jiva misused the free will. Acaryas in a generic way say that it is due to misuse of free will. The exact details or the cause is not known. It is possible that it is different for different jiva, so thinking logically shastras can't go on explaining how every jiva came to material world. For some it is mentioned like Jai & Vijay.

But be sure once we go to spiritual world we ill not come back again. That is Krsna's assurance.

    Hare Krsna

why the feelings of the happiness nd sadness is created.

These are not created by Krsna. These are created by living entities by their actions. When living entity wants to forget Krsna &  enjoy independently then it starts a chain reaction of happiness, distress, karma, bad assocation, karma, envy etc

Are they also present in Krsna ( as we say evrything come frm him) ?

No. Krsna is always blissfull. He is sat-cit-ananda-vigraha

Krsna gives us forgetfulness of our relationship with him. Because if jiva remembers that he has relationship with Krsna and Krsna is everywhere then jiva cannot enjoy seperately.

It is like Krsna is sun. Sun gives light. But because of light there are shadows. Indirectly sun is cause of shadows, because if sun were not there, then no light, no shadow would be there. But u cant blame sun for shadow because Sun did not create shadow, it simply gives light. It is the obstacle to sunlight that creates the shadow. And most importantly if those obstacles can be removed. And we can move out of shadow zone.

why does it happens tht we dont like sufferings nd want happiness why cant we situated same in evry condition.

This is the aspiration for impersonal liberation or sayujya mutki which is available in brahman effulgence. This is the highest goal of mayavadis.

If a living entity desires this, then Krsna will grant it. Our desire is the starting point. We need to always remember that.

But pure devotional service is infinitely more blissful than impersonal liberation.

Śrīla Bilvamaṅgala Ṭhākura stated, therefore, that for persons who engage in the devotional service of the Lord, all material benedictions wait like maidservants. Mukti-devī is just waiting at the door of the devotee to offer liberation, or more than that, at any time. To be a devotee is therefore an exalted position. Simply by rendering transcendental loving service unto the Supreme Personality of Godhead, one can have all the benedictions of the world without separate endeavor. (Purport SB 4.12.7)

why does krsna design the whole srishti like that he is the master nd we all are to serve him nd if we dont then we will get sufferings.

This conception of god is in other religions. If you do not worship God u will burn in hell.

This not the understanding we get from the best of our scriptures.

This Srishti is created to to fulfill all desires of all living entity.

Loving god is completely optional. Suffering is completely optional. Happiness is completely optional. Krsna has thrown us in material world - do whatever you like.

If someone wants to 1. Not suffer 2. Only enjoy 3. Not love god. Then it is possible in material world.

Just maintain this desire. If a living entity does good karma and exhausts all bad karma then it can be achieved. Vedas are filled with procedures how to attain this state.

But what we are trying to attain is not that. Material pleasure is insignificant. Impersonal liberation is nothing compared to the bliss of pure devotional service. Lord chaitanya descended to this world not give liberation or remove sins or give material pleasure.

Think of this. We are the child of king. We have been put in prison. All material conditioning are like bars of prison room or walls of jail etc. These are physical obstacles between us and the king. We should not be too concerned about them.

What we should be concerned is - to rectify our attitude and revive our relationship with our father (Don't see Him as king, He is father).

Aiming for liberation from conditioning or suffering is like aiming to get out of jail and live in streets with dogs and cats.

A devotee aims to go beyond prison, into the capital, into the palace, into the private quarters of the king, inside the bedroom of the father, walk to his bed, climb on His lap and lovingly pull his hair. That is the aspiration of vaishnava. To have loving reciprocation with Krsna.

That is what lord chaitanya mahaprabhu has come to give us.

How do we achieve pure devotional service to Krsna ?

Here it is clearly stated that attachment for one thing is the cause of bondage in conditioned life, and the same attachment, when applied to something else, opens the door of liberation. Attachment cannot be killed; it has simply to be transferred. Attachment for material things is called material consciousness, and attachment for Kṛṣṇa or His devotee is called Kṛṣṇa consciousness. (Purport SB 3.25.20)
We have to develop attachment to Krsna by performing devotional service to Krsna. Better than that is to serve pure devotees of Krsna. And by hearing about Krsna from pure devotees we will develop attachment to Krsna.

    Hare Krsna

Soul is different from subtle body. Soul is different from gross body. Subtle body is different from gross body. Gross body is the physical body made of earth, water, fire, air and ether. When a person dies gross body is left behind which is called dead body. Soul and subtle body go to another womb and take a new gross body.

When soul is fully realized about its service to Krsna and goes to spiritual world, the subtle body is left in the material world and only soul is transferred to spiritual world.

Qualities of soul are spiritual and transcendental. Every soul has some common qualities like- Sat, cit ananda, they love Krsna, they want to please Krsna. Every soul also has its unique qualities which are different for each jiva.

Krsna does not have gross body. Krsna does not have subtle body. Krsna is pure trancendental supersoul. For sake of pastime he can manifest gross / subtle body if needed.

I did not tell subtle body never changes. It always affected by external influences. But it is the same subtle body in the next birth also.

Like when I was small boy my body was very small. But now it is big. Hence my body has changed/grown.  But it is the same body which i acquired at birth that has changed.

Similarly the subtle body is influenced by good and bad elements. Like when we chant hare Krsna our mind is purified. When we read shastras our intelligence is strengthened. When peop\ple watch bollywood movies the mind is contaminated. This way the subtle body is influenced. But is the same subtle body. Even in next birth the same subtle body continues. But it can be purified by chanting Hare Krsna.

Role of impure subtle body is to enable to continuity of soul in material creation, birth after birth. Subtle body is not required for soul. But conditioned soul is attached to subtle body and misidentifies with it,

Subtle body is not grossly physical. We cannot touch it or feel it with gross senses. But it can be felt with subtle body. Using intelligence we can know that another person is intelligent or foolish. But my hand cannot perceive intelligence of another person. My hand can perceive another hand.

Human body is special. In human body we can improve the quality of our consciousness. Highest purpose of human form of life is to practice pure devotional service as given in Bhakti rasamrita sindhu and go back home back to godhead and serve Krsna eternally.

The exact mechanism of functioning of mind etc is dealt in other vedic philosophies. But it is not bhakti literature. As far as our I know even our acaryas have not elaborated much on it. Because we are more interested in Krsna.

It makes sense because this material world is considered a prison house. Gross body and subtle body is uniform of the prison. When our goal is to get out of prison why should I be interested in the mechanics of stitching the prison uniform. This is not to discourage any person's interest. But this is not the focus.

On the other hand there is elaborate descriptions of material creation in srimad bhagavatam, But that is more like pastimes of Krsna in form of purusa avataras.

For me it is sufficient to know that subtle body is controlled by modes of material nature. By chanting Hare Krsna will purify the subtle body and soul will be freed from subtle body.

    Hope this helps

    Hare Krsna

Qualities of honesty, kindness, rudeness, jealousy etc belong to body or soul ?

These qualities are present in subtle body. Subtle body consists of mind, intelligence and false ego. When soul takes up another body, only the gross body changes. But subtle body remains the same. So the mind I have now is the same mind since many births. It is the case for everyone.

Evrething is frm krsna then evry quality must be treated as gud?

It is the manner in which the qualities manifest that matters. Anger is bad when it is manifest in form without Krsna consciousness. When anger is with Krsna consciousness, then it is good.

Krodha, anger, cannot be stopped, but it can be applied rightly. It was in anger that Hanumān set fire to Laṅkā, but he is worshiped as the greatest devotee of Lord Rāmacandra. This means that he utilized his anger in the right way. Arjuna serves as another example. He was not willing to fight, but Kṛṣṇa incited his anger: “You must fight!” To fight without anger is not possible. Anger is controlled, however, when utilized in the service of the Lord. Purport Nectar of Intruction verse 1

Same with mother Yashoda, she becomes angry on Krsna and ties him up. Krsna cries but it is not bad, it is transcendal ecstasy both for Krsna and mother Yashoda.

So all these qualities when manifested appropriately in relation to Krsna are not bad, they are like jewels of a devotee that enhance the beauty of a devotee in Krsna's eyes.

But problem is in conditioned state all the bad qualities are manifest in a manner that persons are controlled by the quality. A person who indulges in sexual abuse is controlled by lust. Angry person is controlled by anger and commits violence. These are manifestations for the purpose of their own self. No Krsna or Krsna consciousness is involved.

So everything that is manifested in appropriate relation to Krsna is the perfection of it. Anything that has lost its connection to Krsna is either useless or harnful.

      Hare Krsna

In conditioned state the qualities are present in subtle body.

But soul has its own spiritual qualities. Eg: Rukmini devi is very humble. Satyabhama devi is competitive. These are their transcendental qualities of soul/devotee.
