hare krishna dear devotees...
i would like to ask one question that i have heard it from many devotees that we all are borned as shudra in this kal yuga so question arises in my mind that on the basis of what we can say that everyone in this kalyuga is borned shudra ....as i am kshatriya and also we have our family lineage tree presented by our family bard where there is given all necessary information such as which clan do you belong to about gotra and also from where we had came from where our acestors use to rule our elders say that we should respect every community and caste but should not intermarry in other caste and also the gotra of both bride and bridegroom should be different inorder to maintain the purity and chastity of the clan and also many says caste should be based on qualities not by birth i agree on it but i am not ready when it comes to marriage part i think that one hast to marry within his community i belive in birth based caste marriage not quality based caste marrige .......even if the opposite party is not so rich not so qualified but if they are higher and belongs to my caste i may accept them for marrige what are your views on it ......i will feel very glad if you share your views with me ..

In Vedic period when the institution of varna and ashrama system was properly followed the division of four social and four spiritual classes was purely based on a person's quality and nature of work born of that quality and it has scriptural basis. As we see in Bhagavad Gita 4.13:
cātur-varṇyaḿ mayā sṛṣṭaḿ
guṇa-karma-vibhāgaśaḥ
tasya kartāram api māḿ
viddhy akartāram avyayam
TRANSLATION
According to the three modes of material nature and the work associated with them, the four divisions of human society are created by Me. And although I am the creator of this system, you should know that I am yet the nondoer, being unchangeable.
Again Bhagavad-gītā As It Is 18.41 clarify the same thing
brāhmaṇa-kṣatriya-viśāḿ
śūdrāṇāḿ ca parantapa
karmāṇi pravibhaktāni
svabhāva-prabhavair guṇaiḥ
TRANSLATION
Brāhmaṇas, kṣatriyas, vaiśyas and śūdras are distinguished by the qualities born of their own natures in accordance with the material modes, O chastiser of the enemy.
So here Krishna never mentioned that the varna and ashrama is decided by birth. Taking birth unto a doctor parents doesn't make one doctor by birth. The child has to earn the degree. Similarly being born in a Kshatriya family doesn't necessarily makes one a Kshatriya.
Bhagavad Gita 18.43: Heroism, power, determination, resourcefulness, courage in battle, generosity and leadership are the natural qualities of work for the kṣatriyas.
so here krishna talks about the quality of a Kshatriya. Now of course if some child born in a Kshatriya family possess this inherent qualities and also manifest as he grows he certainly can be called Kshatriya but in kaliyuga in how many child born of Kshatriya parents we see this quality?
----------------------------------------------------------------
Now what we see in today's India is not scriptural following of Vedas but popular Perverted Hinduism. As time passed by and kaliyuga progressed the perfect varna and ashram totally collapsed and people started proclaiming themselves of this caste or that caste only on the basis of birth when they possess no quality of that particular varna.
Why everyone is Sudra in kaliyuga?
We see now a Kshatriya is doing business, a Brahman is doing labour work, a Vaisya is ruling the country and a Sudra is teaching. So how can we proclaim our varna based on birth. A Sudra means who has no knowledge of soul and only work for enjoying senses . Now if we see all the people of modern day no matter from what caste they are coming all are bereft of any spiritual knowledge and only aim is to earn money and have sex. To do slavery in a multinational company or somewhere else. So all are Sudra.
Now regarding marriage based on caste.
Yes in today's scenario if someone want to follow the birth based varna in match making there is no problem as this has became norm. But that will not guarantee like minded ness of both partner as the bride/groom from a specific varna may not possess the inherent nature or quality of that particular varna. Whereas if both partner are sincere mature devotee that can be good match as both have a common goal. But there is also no surety .....:) . So in modern day marriage has became luck . If krishna wants you can a get very good like minded partner even from a family of Chandala or yavanas but if krishna doesn't want then even a partner from a high class Brahman family can be characterless.
Hope this answers your question.
Yas,
thank you so much prabhu
but for finding a krishna concious girl i dont want to go outside my caste and want to marry within my community now am 21 dont have any job yet after getting settled ... and when my parents will decicide i will get married and only with that person which my parents will decide for me cause if i go beyond their wishes it would be disrespectful for them aswell as for my community they say that our ancestors in past has given their whole life to save the dharma they fought for religion even though you are not a warrior in this yuga bt for your purvaja atmasamman ancestors respect you have to follow our old family tradition in every situation ...is it ok
