Can somebody help me clarify my doubt.
If narkasura was born to varaha avatar of vishnu and boomi devi in the treta yuga did he continue to live until dwapara yuga till he was finished by Krishna? If so why was he not mentioned anywhere inbetween narashimha avatar to ram avatar literary sources?
Replies
Thank you for your question. Indeed, the story of Narakasura spans multiple yugas, which can seem perplexing. According to various Puranic texts, Narakasura (also known as Bhaumasura) was born to Bhumi Devi and Varaha, an avatar of Vishnu. Though his life began in Treta Yuga, he met his end at the hands of Lord Krishna in Dwapara Yuga.

Narasimha dev appeared in Satya Yuga. Varaha Dev appeared before Narasimha dev, so Varaha dev also appeared in Satya Yuga. Narakasura was born in Satya yuga. Narakasaura lived through entire Treta yuga. He did not encounter Narasimha dev or Vamana dev or Parasurama or Lord Sri Ramacandra.
I am not aware of the activities of Narakasura. Generally scriptures focus on Life of devotees, pastimes Lord etc. There is mention of demons but not all their activities are mentioned.
Like there is mention of Kamsa in Srimad Bhagavatam, but not too many details are given. Whatever details are given is in the context of appearance of Lord Sri Krsna. Before the marriage of Devaki and Vasudev what all Kamsa did etc are not mentioned in detail, but only as a summary.
i put u the SB loka read its purport.

Narakasura could live happily becoz of the boon he got from Lord Brahma. Brahma gave him boon that he can only be killed at the hands of his mother ie, Bhoodevi.
Bhoodevi has a lot of Sahanshakti ( tolerance)
Until Narakasura did sufficient bad karma that it was time for her to take this action to kill Narkasura the time was just passing by.
Naraka was born at the end of Varaha avatar if u say Treta yuga then I don't know. But it is mentioned it is in Satyuga. whatever it its.
He was a good person at the begining. After he was born Bhoodevi left him in the Mithila region the present day Assam.
Which was then ruled by king Janaka. He was brought up by king Janaka. You see in the kingdom of Mithila all those kings who ruled the place were called Janaka only. Not the Janaka we know ( not the Sita devi's father).
Naraka was raised by King Janaka. ... Naraka established a capital there called Prakjyotishapura. For years, Naraka was a wise ruler and worshiped Kamakhya devi as Vishnu had said. He had 4 sons named Bhagadatta, Mahasirsa, Madavan, and Sumali.
Naraka was good king at the start.
Srimad-Bhagavatam 3:3:6 Purport
Narakasura (or Naraka) belonged to the Kirat-Ashur, a mlechha tribe residing throughout the Himalya region. These particular Kirats came from the intermingling of Mongoloids who migrated from the north (now Tibetan China) and established themselves in Assam.
Narakasura established his kingdom at Pragjyotisha after overthrowing the last of the Danava kings, Ghatakasura.
Naraka was an empowered person worshipped Kamakya devi and got many boons. He was very powerful why not?? he is son of Lord Himself.
Bhoodevi requested Lord vishnu that Narakasura gets long life. Lord also granted it.
But Naraka also got a boon in course of time from Lord Brahma that his death cannot happen at anyone's hands except his own mother. Naraka thought what in the world a mom would kill its own child. AFTER GETTING THIS BOON, he became totally fearless and associated with demon king Banasura.
You see ASSOCIATION MATTERS.
As told in the purport of this verse of SB
https://vedabase.io/en/library/sb/3/3/6/
after he got connected to Banasura he became a fearless demon. He started to challenge Lord HIMSELF.
Now it was time for the show to end.
Narakasura attacked the heaven.. Stole Indra's umbrella., lifted a playgorund on which the 16,100 apasaras were playing in the heaven abducting them.,
stole Aditi mata's earrings.
Then Aditi who is the devatas mother came over to Satyabhama to tell her about the sad tale.
Aditi, who was a relative of Krsna's wife Satyabhama (an expansion of Naraka's mother, Bhudevi), approached Satyabhama for help. When Satyabhama heard of Narakasura's ill treatment of women and his behaviour with Aditi, she was enraged. Satyabhama thus approached Lord Krsna for permission to wage a war against Narakasura.
Satyabhama was the bhudevi incarnate now she felt that its time to finish the chapter of Narakasura herself.
On the day of the war, Satyabhama fought Narakasura bravely alongside Krsna, but she was no match to his trained skills. After a few days, when Narakasura got a chance, he took aim at Krsna, hurting him lightly. Krishna fainted in a preordained, divine plan adopted to empower Satyabhama. As expected, upon seeing Krsna hurt, Satyabhama became furious. She redoubled her attack on the demon king and finally killed him.

Every leela of God is preplanned and takes place when the right time comes.
Though Narakasura was born in satyuga. to Lord Varaha and Bhoomidevi. He was very powerful and received a boon from Lord braham
that he cannot have death at anyone's hands except the hands of His own mother.
And you know which mother in this world would want to kill her own son.
This was Narakasura's plan to get such a boon.
Time passed by and at first Narakasura was raised by Janak maharaj of Mithila region.
then Narkasura conquered the Kiratas and occupied Pragjyotishpura.
At the start he was very nice wisely ruled the place.
Now.. Until his bad karma accumulated and gets ripped one has to wait.
Meanwhile the ground was preparing.
Narakasura became demon after he started associating with Banasura. Demon is a person who becomes rival to Supreme Lord.
Now it was time for Lord to come to end his drama.
Now the condition was that this demon needs to die at the hands of his own mother.
Satyabhama is an incarnation of Bhudevi. Lord knew it.
Now the death was all planned as per the plan it was executed by Lord.
Yes Narakasura lived long thru all the yugas ( Sat, treta, Dwapar) becoz....his boon was like that... and until his bad karma gets totally accumulated.
Bhudevi Herself felt burden and had to slay her own son.

Narakāsura, the son of Dharitrī, the earth, tried to grasp the whole sky, and for this he was killed by the Lord in a fight. His mother then prayed to the Lord. This led to the return of the kingdom to the son of Narakāsura, and thus the Lord entered the house of the demon.
Purport
It is said in other Purāṇas that Narakāsura was the son of Dharitrī, the earth, by the Lord Himself. But he became a demon due to the bad association of Bāṇa, another demon. An atheist is called a demon, and it is a fact that even a person born of good parents can turn into a demon by bad association. Birth is not always the criterion of goodness; unless and until one is trained in the culture of good association, one cannot become good.
"Yes Narakasura lived long thru all the yugas ( Sat, treta, Dwapar)"
I think varaha avatar took place in treta yuga which means he lived from treta to dwapara yuga. Because he was born only in the end of varaha avatar. So thst would mean he lived from treta to dwapara.
'Time passed by and at first Narakasura was raised by Janak maharaj of Mithila region.
then Narkasura conquered the Kiratas and occupied Pragjyotishpura.'
So while he lived from treta upto dwapara how did he not encounter narashimha avatar or any of those intermediate avatars of lord Vishnu ( such as vamana, parasuram , Ram)? What was he doing during the intermediate avatars of lord? Or atleast why was narkasura not even mentioned in any of those intermediate avatars' s literary sources? Is there any past time of narkasura mentioned during time of vamana or narashimha or ram or parashuram? Thank you. Hare Krishna.
