Mahat-tattva

Hare Krishna !!

From Bhagavatam (canto 3, chp 26)

When the dormant energy of supreme personality of Godhead becomes manifested called as Mahat-tattva, the material ego springs up from the mahat-tattva,which evolved from Lords own energy.

When Supreme personality of Godhead impregnates Material nature ( called as pradhana in unmanifested form) with his internal potency, the material nature (the 3 modes, good, passion, ignorance) becomes manifested(now called as prakriti)

And From the false ego of goodness, another transformation takes place. From this invovles the mind, whose thoughts and reflections give rise to "DESIRE"

From most of the devotees I have heard that the root cause of the living entities becoming conditioned soul is the desire to enjoy separately from God or to think themselves as God.

So why and how this false ego arises from pure consciousness? From above translation in Bhagavatam , what I understand is  "DESIRE" can never exists in spiritual world.

Everything in material world is the result of mahat-tattva. So why and how are conditioned soul responsible for the original cause of his/her karma.?

Jai shree Krishna.
