one of the many holy names of Lord Shiva - Kashi Vishwanath

My question is, why is lord shiva called Vishwanath? I am little confuse, since Krishna is Jagannath. and both the names are synonyms to each other.

Why it is written in Mahabharat that Krishna is a devotee of Shiva?

Hk dandwat pranam, can someone please clarify my doubt:

In Mahabharat 7.9.201, it is written that Krsna is devotee of Shiva and manifested from Shiva. Why so?
