Lifespan of Lord Vishnu

Hare Krishna

Dandwat Pranam

Is it true that the lifespan of Lord Vishnu is 7 times of Lord Brahma which is 700 divine years and Lord Shiva span is 7 times of Lord Vishnu which is 4900 divine years as it is mentioned in Sri Shiva Mahapuran , Kurma Puran and  Devi Bhagwata purana. In Devi Bhagwata it is also mentioned that  Lord Vishnu's  parents are Brahm and Maa Durga. Why in Puranas it is written like this when Lord Vishnu is beyond time and space  and which loka(abode) is superior Siva Loka, Devi Loka and Vaikuntha loka as different Puranas consider different Lokas as supreme

Is it true that the lifespan of Lord Vishnu is 7 times of Lord Brahma ?

No. Lord Vishnu does not have a lifespan. He is eternal, and so is the living entity.

    na tv evāhaṁ jātu nāsaṁ
    na tvaṁ neme janādhipāḥ
    na caiva na bhaviṣyāmaḥ
    sarve vayam ataḥ param

Never was there a time when I did not exist, nor you, nor all these kings; nor in the future shall any of us cease to be. ( BG 2.12)

Is it true that the lifespan  Lord Shiva is 7 times of Lord Vishnu ?

    No. Both are eternal.

Why in Puranas it is written like this ?

Please specify the particular shloka where it is mentioned. Without providing exact authentic reference anyone can say it is written in ABC purana, X happened so Y is greater than Z.

Which loka(abode) is superior Siva Loka, Devi Loka and Vaikuntha loka as different Puranas consider different Lokas as supreme  ?

    goloka-nāmni nija-dhāmni tale ca tasya
    devi maheśa-hari-dhāmasu teṣu teṣu
te te prabhāva-nicayā vihitāś ca yena
    govindam ādi-puruṣaṁ tam ahaṁ bhajāmi

Lowest of all is located Devī-dhāma [mundane world], next above it is Maheśa-dhāma [abode of Maheśa]; above Maheśa-dhāma is placed Hari-dhāma [abode of Hari] and above them all is located Kṛṣṇa's own realm named Goloka. I adore the primeval Lord Govinda, who has allotted their respective authorities to the rulers of those graded realms. ( Brahma Samhita 5.43)

      The reference is in

Vyasa tells Janamejaya-O King! Shiva, Brahma, Narayana, Indra and other Gods, as well as the Munis and others live up to their ordained age of life. This moving and unmoving Universe then dissolves at time of Pralaya and comes into existence again, there is no doubt here, O Lord of Men. O Ruler of Earth! when the ordained age ends, then Brahma and others die, and again, Vishnu, Shiva, Indra and other all Devas take birth again. So, every embodied being(a being having a body) therefore gets all the feelings of lust, anger, avarice et cetera

And is it true that the more the signs on feet one has the more one is God like Sri Rama had 22 signs on feet whereas Sri Krishna has 19 signs on feet

      • Devi Bhagavatam is a minor Purana somehow similar to Srimad Bhagavatam, the main Mahapurana, but taking a Sakta viewpoint. See the hierarchy of sastra pramanas in Tattva sandarbha.

        And is it true... ?

Most of all such questions asked so far have had a common answer - No. Not true. Anything taken from bogus mayavadi websites may be summarily rejected until and unless proven otherwise. And ya, someone stating something is not proof.

These shlokas are mentioning of the end of the universe, not end of Lord Shiv or Lord Vishnu. Mayavadis tend not to see the basic difference between material universe and spiritual soul. Lord Shiva and Lord Vishnu have existence beyond the material universe. They do not die. Even a common conditioned living being is eternal, what to speak of Shabmhu tattva and Vishnu tattva.

Where in the shloka is quantity of lifespan of Shiva and Vishnu mentioned ? Which word in the shloka says Lord Vishnu and Lord Shiva take birth or die ?

Just as is the prevalent bogus propaganda of typical  mayavadis, the one shloka which gives absolute clarity about this whole thing has been conveniently or deviously or enviously avoided. The previous line in Devi Bhagavatam Book 4 Chapter 13 is

        शेषे शेते  कदाचिद्वै   योगनिद्रासमावृतः

        काले जागर्तिं विश्वात्मा स्वभाव प्रतिभोदितः

Laying on the thousand hooded serpent Shesha, at times while induced in Yoganidra, Sri Narayana withdraws all the worlds within Himself.

This action by Lord Sri Narayana or Sri Maha Vishnu or Sri Karanodakasayi Vishnu is the cause of the annihilation of the all the material universes. How then can Lord Sri Vishnu die ?

It is the severe envy present in the poisonous hearts of mayavadis who want to somehow or other  declare themselves god or declare themselves greater than god or belittle Sri Krsna that causes them to go into such deep delusions that they cannot see a simple straight forward shloka that completely defeats their entire bogus philosophy.

Your mayavada philosophy is false propaganda. You have no place in these forums. Please exit these forums and take your fake philosophy, fake doubts &  fake forgiveness along with you.

I am truly sorry but I am a beginner in spirituality and had done a lot of research on internet so i got many doubts . I have nowhere to ask these doubts that's why I had joined this forum to get  answers to my questions I don't mean to spread any philosophy but to strengthen my faith and refute these bogus claims.

The reference of the Lord Vishnu age is

A day of Viṣṇu is the lifetime of Brahmā. A day of Rudra is equal to the lifetime of Viṣṇu. A day of Śiva is equal to the life-period of one Rudra. A day of Sadāśiva is the life-period of Śiva. A day of Sākṣāt Śiva is the life-period of Sadāśiva. The lifetime of the latter is equal to the life-period of five hundred and forty thousand previous deities.

And is it true that the more the signs on feet one has the more one is God like Sri Rama had 22 signs on feet whereas Sri Krishna has 19 signs on feet

This refers to the time span during which Lord Brahma, Lord Vishnu & Lord Shiva function within this universe. But this does not mean that Lord VIshnu and Lord Shiva die like an animal which dies out of oldage at the end of its lifespan. There are many forms of Lord Vishnu and Shiva within the universe, which oversee the functioning of the  universe. When it  is time for the annihilation of universe, the Vishnu forms become unmanifest.

Like mentioned in the shloka above earlier, the Karanaodakasayi Vishnu who is situated outside the material universe withdraws the universe by his inhalation. Each universe has one Garbhodakasayi Vishnu from the navel of whom, Lord Brahma emanates. So when it is time for the annihilation of the universe, the Garbhodakasai Vishnu becomes unmanifest and the universe is destroyed, as the universe goes back into the maniest form of Karanodakasayi Vishnu.

                12343261476?profile=RESIZE_930x

There is not point in time or space (within the material universe or outside the material universe in material creation) when all forms of Lord Vishnu  non-existent. There is  Lord Vishnu who is situated outside the material creation in spiritual world which is never created or destroyed.

                paras tasmāt tu bhāvo ’nyo
                ’vyakto ’vyaktāt sanātanaḥ
                yaḥ sa sarveṣu bhūteṣu
                naśyatsu na vinaśyati
Yet there is another unmanifest nature, which is eternal and is transcendental to this manifested and unmanifested matter. It is supreme and is never annihilated. When all in this world is annihilated, that part remains as it is. ( Bg 8.20)
