Mahaprabhu told five must do things in Chaitanya Charitamrita for advancement 

1. Diety worship- we are fortunate we can have Jaggannath, Baldev, Subhdra, or Gaur Nitai, or Shaligram or Radha krsna deities but it should be done under supervision of a pure devotee

2. Reading  Srimad Bhagwatam- For dettachment from the material world and for topmost knowledge in and of bhakti and for decorating bhakti maharani ""Reading SB is must"

3. Singing kirtans and chanting as much as you can- You dont need voice , you need intent to please krsna and heart to sing vaishnava songs and harinam sankirtan to purify your polluted mind

4. Sadhu Sanga- Always associate with a devotee who chants , reads and serves more than you

5. Dham Vas- Regular visit to dhams such as Vrindavan, Mayapur, Jaggannath Puri , Pandharpur, Ayoydha, kashi, Chitrakut etc. unending list?

 That krsna prem which appeared in Six Goswamis was result of all this.
