Hare Krsna

Srimad Bhagavatam is the book. It contains case studies of how people were attacked by maya and how devotees overcame maya.

Hare Krsna

Thank you prabhu...
Even if we understand MAYA still it is difficult to escape her because she is krsna's energy and very powerful, it is her service to the Lord, she will not fail in executing it.
Krsna himself says my MAYA is difficult to overcome - mama maya duratyaya,
Solution is to surrender unto krsna and serve Him always - mam Eva ye prapadyante mayam etam tarantite.
The root cause of MAYA capturing us is aversion to krsna, so krsna has ordered maya to bind such souls. But wen one fully develops surrender, krsna will order maya to leave you and u will b free.
Ultimately it is krsna who can free us. By our endeavors some things can be done only. So be conscious of krsna and alert of maya.

Hare Krishna..,

No one can defeat Maya without Krishna's Mercy!!!. Maya is illusory potency of Lord. We  have no weapon ( sword, or clubs arrows etc.)to fight against Lord's potency. Maya loses its power only in the presence of pure devotees of Lord.

-->To defeat Maya you need to have Vairagya. Vairagya ( dispassion and detachment only is the perfect weapon combined with Bhakti and gyana).

Three weapons which act against Maya- Bhakti, Gyana, Vairagya.

BHa- ga- Va- ta..( defination of Bhagavata)

Bha-- bhakti.

ga- gyana

Va- Vairagrya.

Ta- Tattva gyana/philosophy /tapas.

One who gets knowledge...no longer feels he is body.. he loses attachment to the body.. he become disspaasionate develops Vairagya..( detachemnt). He only can attain Krishna Prema..The perfect pure devotee of Lord no longer hankers for material things that kind of a person alone can defeat maya.

-->Maya can be defeated only by those who have Krishna's causeless mercy upon them. Otherwise it is impossible.

==> Maya is of two types.. Yoga Maya and Mahamaya.

conditioned souls are in Mahamaya.. While Yoga Maya is internal potency of lord.

Everything is from Lord only. Even we also. only difference in energies levels.

conditioned souls  are Marginal energies of Lord.

Mahamaya that which surrounds conditioned souls and that which makes us feel we are the doer.( puts you in false ego).that makes you identity with the body Mahamaaya is External energy of Lord.

Yogamaya or internal Potency of Lord is also called ahaladini Shakti who is nothing but Srimati Radha Rani.

=>Yogamaya means the mercy of the Supreme Lord which connects a devotee in the transcendental loving service of the Lord, and mahamaya means the external potency of the Lord which puts a conditioned soul into illusion that he will be happy by material adjustment.

It is stated in the Bhagavad-gita when Krishna said the following: "I am not visible to everyone on account of being curtained by yogamaya." So when a conditioned soul surrenders unto Krishna, the yogamaya winds up the curtain and Krishna is visible to the devotee.

==>>Subhadra is yogamaya. The spiritual energy is called yogamaya. And she has 16 different expansions. Out of these 16 expansions, Subhadra is one.

One Stroy:-

Just as Charan Prabhu asked what is maya??? how does it act??. one time our Narad Muni ji also asked to Lord Sri Krishna the same thing..

“My dear Lord, can you please show me power of your maya, your illusiory energy? Please explain to me the secret of this magic called maya and how she act?”

Sri Krishna hesitated to do it. So Krishna asked his dear devotee:

My dear Narada are you sure you want to see power of my maya!?

Narada was very detirmened so he said: Yes, Krishna i am sure. I want to see power of your maya!

Lord Krishna replied : Ok Narada i will show you. Let’s lie down here in the shade and I shall tell you everything. But first, Narada, it’s terribly hot; would you get me a cool glass of water?”

Narad walked down to get water along the forest....he was walking and walking until he reached a village.

The heat grew unbearable. Narada’s throat became parched too; he began to think that he would ask for two glasses of water, and drink the second himself.

Finally he reached the village and ran to the nearest house. The door opened – and there stood the most beautiful girl he had ever seen. She smiled up at Narada through long, dark lashes and something happened to him that had never happened before. All he could do was to look at her beautiful face. Finally he spoke out, “Will you marry me?”

Now Narad ji settles down with this girl made a beautiful home had children with her, and children were growing up faster, everything was going on smootly and Narad ji and his wife spent beautiful days with children and fondly playing with them and enjoying his life , he also become a big shot in the village and was most respected person there in the village.

Now they were planning to have grandchildren also .. the wife and husband were talking....to each other isn't it so nice now we are going to become proud grand parents.

Then a flood came. The village fields became a raging river, and before Narada’s helpless eyes, everything that he loved and lived for – his lands, his cattle, his house, but especially his beloved wife and all their children and grandchildren – were swept away. Of all the village, only he remained.

He was trying to save them from all this calamities but was not successful.

Unable to watch the destruction, Narada fell to his knees and cried for help from the very depths of his heart.

“Krishna! Krishna!”

At once, the raging floods disappeared and there was Sri Krishna, standing casually on the fields where they had walked what seemed to be so many years before.

“Narada,” the Lord asked gently, “where is my glass of water?”

Moral:

This is power of maya. She make us forget lotus feet of Krishna. She overcome us and we forget our Lord. We have done this for millions of lives in this material wolrd. It has been our desire to be in maya as Narada wanted to see her. We are all in situation as great sage Narada have in this story.

To free ourselves from the clutches of maya we need to surrender to Lord Sri Krishna and cry out the holy name of lord with love so that lord can have mercy on our poor souls and takes us back to Him freeing us from the clutches of Maya Maha so that We can be under the influence of Yogamaya which makes us do devotional service to reach Lord.
Radhe Radhe Shyam Mila de.

Pray to Srimati Radha Rani who is Yoga Maya or internal potency of Lord to have mercy and show us the right path.

Jai Jai Sri Radhe.

Hare Krishna Hare Krishna Krishna Krishna Hare Hare

Hare Rama Hare Rama Rama Rama Hare Hare!!!

Hare Krsna Charan prabhu,

PAMHO.

There cannot be such a book which will give all the tricks of maya. Its like saying give me a recipe book which contains all the recipes in the world.

THe only antidote to maya is Krsna Consciousness. Please try to be Krsna Conscious throughout the day.

Obstacles in spiritual life are there to make our resolve stronger and teach us a spiritual lesson. Learn the lesson.

Haribol,

Your servant,

Radha Rasamayi DD
