Hare Krishna. In the book "Coming Back" it says that the soul is located in the heart of the living entity, and it is the source of all the energies which maintain the body. The energy of the soul is spread all over the body, and this is known as consciousness. Since this consciousness spreads the energy of the soul all over the body, one feels pains and pleasures in every part of the body. The soul is individual, and he transmigrates from boyhood to youth, and then to advanced old age. Death takes place when we change to a new body, just as we change from our old dress to a new dress. This is called transmigration of the soul. My understanding is that my soul is staying in my heart and will leave my heart at the time of death. I do not recall ever reading that my soul is present in millions of places at the same time. No. If my heart is in Florida, then my soul is in Florida too.
Hare Krishna! Very interesting question!!! My guess is and it is just a guess: The soul is located in the heart. If someone is born with 2 bodies but they are sharing only one heart then yes, they would have only one soul because they only have one heart. If someone has 2 bodies and each body has it's own heart then they would have 2 hearts and therefore there would be 2 souls.
