Is sai baba actually God?

Hare krishna to all the devotees

All glories to Swami srila Prabhupada

Many people worship sai Baba as God. He is actually God? Is sai Baba's reference given in shrimad bhagvatam?

Is it wrong to worship sai Baba if he is not god?

Thank you for you time ,

    Hare Krsna

    Is Sai Baba actually God?

Neither Shirdi Sai Baba nor Sai Baba of Puttaparthi is God.

Is sai Baba's reference given in shrimad bhagvatam?

    No

Is it wrong to worship sai Baba if he is not god?

Worship is a personal choice. Vedic scriptures reccomend worship of authentic God by bonafide process.

It is reccomended to understand 3 aspects before worship

    1. Sambandha - What is my relationship with my worshippable God ?

    2. Abhideya - What is the bonafide method of worhsip ? or How should I perform the worship ?

    3. Prayojana - What is ultimate goal of my worship ?

As per vedic scriptures there is only ONE Supreme Pesonality of Absolute truth who is beyond time, creation and destruction, who is source of all manifestation and supremely independent.

  • Hare Krishna,

There is no mention of Shri Sai Baba in SB. But there is mention of Shree Dattatreya swami in SB.

In Maharashtra Sri Sai baba ( shirdi) is considered to be an incarnation of Shree Dattatreya.

it not wrong to respect any one.

but surely he is not God .. he is a guru tattva.

and a great reformer and a great philosopher.

Once you hold on to Krishna all others are covered as what I have told to you earlier also.

God status is only for Krishna.

Shridi sai baba never said he is god. He always said allah maalik.

and also made people chant Rama and Krishna's name and vishnu sahasranama... made people to read bhagwatam and bhagwad gita... made people do naam saptah..

I personally admire Shree Saibaba of Shirdi...I came to Krishna thru him.

Dattatreya swami has many avatars and he some times comes in various ways.. like a mad man or a begger to us or many other forms ...

In the state of Maharashtra many people praise and glorify Shree Saibaba... Many have seen miracles happening..

But sai always said to praise Lord never asked anyone to chant his name or praise him.

people made him god and built temple.. etc.

whatever it is he is not a bad person.

he never hates anyone. .. always loved humanity and strived for unifying all religions together just like Vaishnavism.

main aim is to praise Sri Hari...

Lord Sri Krishna is the Supreme personality of Godhead and no one can occupy His place and no one cannot even equate them to HIM.

everyone is given freedom to chose his path in hinduism

Our Vaishnavism aims at holding to one book that is Bhagwad gita

One Lord that is Sri Krishna.

One way that is path shown by Krishna and Rama followed by aacharyas.

We needn't run around many gods...

Just hold on to the roots and pour water to the roots rest all is taken care off and covered by it.

It doesn't mean to disrespect the followers of Saibaba.

All are finally belonging to Sri Krishna all are part and parcel of Lord Sri Krishna. .. with that identity one must proceed and accept everyone ..

humbleness means to accept all as part and parcel of Krishna.

Unhone bura toh nahi kaha.. na kiya kisi ka bura...toh hum log unki burai kyon karein...

    be neutral and respect all

Krishna is only GOD .. no one else is God.... rest all are devotees of Lord Sri Krishna who keep coming time and again to spread the glories of Sri Hari.

Some saints had mystical powers due to sadhana they get some shakti's that doesn't make them God.. but they used these divya shakti's to help people and reform people.

For that time period that saint came to unify hindu and muslims... they are sent by Krishna to make people realize some essential teachings.
