  • The Simple answer is ; nothing can happen without the Lord's Will.Even a Leaf cannot move without His will. If God allows something to happen ; He cannot allow if if it is not meant for some future good results.

  • Dean Do you really know Krishna's plan :)

Nobody knows Krishn leela's or plans only himself... wish i could be his partner in crime(Leelas) and know all his plans

  • Not all of us are destined to be full time Temple devotees. My astrologer told me that I would not make it as a Temple devotee in this life. I did try and only lasted 6 months. I was miserable without my cats. My cats stayed with my parents while I lived in the Temple. It's a miracle that I didn't get kicked out of the Temple. My astrologer told me that in my next lifetime that I would definitely be a full-time Temple devotee. If I would have" forced myself to be a Temple devotee" then I would have been responsible for all of the other Temple devotees leaving because of me and my behavior. I am not worried about becoming a cat in my next life. My cats are part and parcel of Krishna and Lord Krishna loves my cats too.

No my cats will not be happy without me. They like eating healthy food and having their stomachs full. I don't own them.  My favorite verse is BG 5:18

"The humble sage, by virtue of true knowledge, sees with equal vision a learned and gentle brahmana, a cow, an elephant, a dog and a dog -eater(outcaste)

The idea of leaving all jobs and just to surrender to Krishna sounds great. However, I don't want to be homeless. I have 2 cats. When you adopt an animal it is suppose to be  a "lifetime commitment". My cats would be very unhappy to be homeless with me. I don't think I would do well being a "homeless person"

    • Surrender also involves utilizing one's intelligence in Krishna's service. We should not make Krishna our servant or order supplier by expecting Him to make every arrangement and create our good fortune and well being. "God helps those who help themselves." Use your good intelligence and make your best effort to situate yourself optimally for performing material duties and spiritual practices. If you try your best then "Krishna will carry what you lack." Surrender doesn't mean becoming a rag doll. Arjuna wanted to leave his worldly responsibilities, but Krishna did not approve. In Bhagavatam Canto 5 Prince Priyavrata desired only to meditate upon Lord Krishna, but he was convinced by Lord Brahma, against the advice of his guru, Sri Narada Muni, to marry and become king of the entire universe with  unlimited responsibilities. His decision was deemed correct and admirable, and in the end he was rewarded with pure devotional service. Everyone must work according to his/her guna and karma. We cannot sit idly or assume we are able to simply chant in a solitary place. BG 3.4 "Not by merely abstaining from work can one achieve freedom from reaction, nor by renunciation alone can one attain perfection." And BG 3.8 "Perform your prescribed duty, for doing so is better than not working. One cannot even maintain one's physical body without work."

That is true but they will be fulfilled according to Krishna's plan.

For example, Dhruva Maharaja wanted just higher post than his father etc.

But Krishna did not fulfill Dhruva Maharaja's desire just to have a higher post than his ancestors but in a very special way, doesn't He?!

He gave love for Himself, plus a whole planet plus spiritual planet.

    I meant this Dean Prabhu.

Sometimes out of childishness we desire something very insignificant. But Krishna knows what is better for us and decides Himself to fulfill that or not.

    • I am praying that Lord Krishna will allow me to get a day shift job because my night shift job has destroyed what little sanity I have left. However, if Lord Krishna wants me to remain totally miserable and unhappy at my night shift job what can I do?  I guess I will have to accept the fact that Lord Krishna doesn't want me to go to the Temple and prefers that I stay home and be totally exhausted and crazy all the time. Acceptance is the answer I guess.

no dear Mataji, Krishna never wants You to suffer.

Please find day time job, or else it may ruin Your health.

Dear Mataji, is it possible for You feed Your boss at job place with Prasadam? Little by little daily You can offer some Prasadam to him or her. Or even to Your friends at job place, to Your colleagues.

If You have some nice friends then sometimes make a small gifts to them. Say appreciating words.

See, our job depended on our friendship with other people. If we have nice friends they will help us to find nice job...

And if we have good, friendly qualities even if we are not expert at our job place people will desire to keep You in that environment just because You are very nice to associate with.

        Your servant,
