It is because you wanted to enjoy the material world. You thought Why I must seve Lord. I am not a servant, I'm independent. When the independent idea came into your head. Krishna said okay go and enjoy be independent. When You cry and remember me with love You can come back, this time with real love. You went away leaving HIm to enjoy your so called freedom.
But alas ! the so called freedom is a burden here on the Earth. HHEHE It is so boring here. Daily doing the same routine works. We really cry now Hey Krishna save me. I am tired. I am bored. I am feeling deathly here without You. Now please come and pick me up again. He will surely come now for getting you back Because, He always loved you since time immemorial.
