Hare Krishna to all the devotees
All glories to srila Prabhupada
I have heard that out of all the senses , tounge is the hardest to control and that one who can't control the tounge can't advance in devotion.
Also how uncontrolled tounge leads to uncontrolled other senses (especially genitals, i.e, illicit sex).
But I find it very difficult to control it, even when I can control nonsense talking a little, overeating is very hard to reduce.
How can I reduce both nonesense talking and eating?

Hare Krishna,
"Also how uncontrolled tounge leads to uncontrolled other senses (especially genitals, i.e, illicit sex)" But I find it very difficult to control it, even when I can control nonsense talking a little, overeating is very hard to reduce.
Well, think like this you just a full meal... what will you do? you want to sleep. Because what exactly happens is..
When you overeat something the blood supply to the stomach increases while blood supply to the head or brain decreases you feel sleepy and lazy because of that.
Mental alertness decreases. You want to relax, rest, sleep and give comfort to the body. YOU ARE GOING TO NEGLECT AUSTERITIES like cleaning pooja room, doing diya aarti naivedya to Lord and you just want to sleep or eat more as it is creating a sense of comfort to you isn't it?
When you do this type of procrastination towards Lord and procrastination towards personal cleanliness as well... You don't want to take Bath also. Sauchya ( cleanliness) externally is lost first. You don't keep your body clean, house clean or pooja room clean. You are always interested in eating sleeping.. Neglecting regular duties ( nitya karma ) of a household man as well.
DAY 1 ->> you delayed pooja .. DAY -2 --->>you break the daily ritual of pooja, aarti and naivedya and chanting also.
Then third day you will feel it is okay no problem God is not going to stick to so many rules. Chanting Lord's name or not I am remembering Him .. Okay you Lost the Japa ( holy name is gone from the Tongue already). You don't want to exert not even doing one mala leave about 16 mala.
Now the lazy person if woken up by any of the devotees .. he shouts at them. he will start to lecture them that God listens to your chant? are you mad. Enjoy your life first then you can chant.
This is exactly what happened - When Narada muni tried to explain to the Nala Kubera and Manigriva the importance of chanting. They made fun of Narada muni they said oh stupid one, you don't know what is enjoyment. Look see how we are enjoying life and how you are wearing a saffron and roaming about like a monk. Learn to enjoy life first" Now this is the culminating point when we don such vaishnava aparadh. This is how the tongue lost the austerity of Speech.
Next is totally fall down follows there after. he will follow whatever the monkey mind suggests and runs after senses.
Person who is lazy will not get a job. He will have no money ( LAXMI JI LEAVES HIM).
Laxmi ji leaves this guy will start to tell LIES TO parents or Steal money to inorder to eat as he is glutton and go used to eating and sleeping.
FINDS EASY WAYS TO EARN MONEY like Gambling .. Steal money or lies to parents or wife and take money and says to them I will make them double in a jiffy and goes to the bar to gamble.
Loses in gambling .. he meets a friend like himself.. they both besties start celebrating their faliures in life.. .. by drinking alchohal and abusing the world. Oh..no one helps them. They became losers because of the parents or family. Or the boss who threw him out of the job.. they abuse all people BUT THEM. Totally dejected in life they even blame GOD..Oh that God he is sitting there nicely enjoying the show. How cruel he enjoys HIS life with so many gopi's and asks us to be with only one. We must do something to prove that there is no God. We are only the Supereme Lord. Hogaya .. !!! height of EGO. Chalo lets drink.
once fullydrunk.. they distinction between good and bad is lost.
They cannot see any difference between mother and sister or wife ( ILLICIT SEX). Their judgement power is clouded by intoxication. ( INTOXICATION)
They sleep around with any woman and steel, lie, beg and finally get money by plundering looting and killing innocent humans and now they ( they Lose the COMPASSION for other's suffering).
Now they are no less than an animal with wild untamed senses.
"How can I reduce both nonesense talking and eating?
DO EKADASHI VRAT to control all the 11 senses ( 11 sesnes are the 5 gyan indriya, 5 karma indriya and the Mind). Chant 25 rounds on that day and eat only fruits, milk, butter milk and water. OR JUST TO NIRJALA to remove the sins committed to return back to Krishna Consciousness. USE THE TONGUE ON THAT DAY dedicatedly for only praising and glorifying Lord and totally restricting to chanting Harinama and controlling food intake by only restricting to FRUITS or water or NO WATER ALSO.
Only one day. You can do it. 24 hours only. VERY EASY. TRY

How to control tongue ?
The meaning of controlled speech conveyed by Śrīla Rūpa Gosvāmī advocates the positive process of kṛṣṇa-kathā, engaging the speaking process in glorifying the Supreme Lord Śrī Kṛṣṇa. The tongue can thus glorify the name, form, qualities and pastimes of the Lord. The preacher of kṛṣṇa-kathā is always beyond the clutches of death. This is the significance of controlling the urge to speak.
The conclusion is that only when we talk about devotional service to the Supreme Personality of Godhead can we refrain from useless nonsensical talk. We should always endeavor to use our speaking power solely for the purpose of realizing Kṛṣṇa consciousness.
(Purport Shloka 1 Nectar of Instruction )
As for the urges of the tongue, we all experience that the tongue wants to eat palatable dishes. Generally we should not allow the tongue to eat according to its choice, but should control the tongue by supplying prasāda. The devotee’s attitude is that he will eat only when Kṛṣṇa gives him prasāda. That is the way to control the urge of the tongue. One should take prasāda at scheduled times and should not eat in restaurants or sweetmeat shops simply to satisfy the whims of the tongue or belly. If we stick to the principle of taking only prasāda, the urges of the belly and tongue can be controlled. (Purport Shloka 1 Nectar of Instruction )
If one can restrain the demands of the tongue by limiting its activities to the eating of prasāda, the urges of the belly and the genitals can automatically be controlled. In this connection Śrīla Bhaktivinoda Ṭhākura says:
jīve phele viṣaya-sāgare
tā’ra madhye jihvā ati, lobhamāyā sudurmati,
tā’ke jetā kaṭhina saṁsāre
sva-prasāda-anna dila bhāi
sei annāmṛta khāo, rādhā-kṛṣṇa-guṇa gāo,
preme ḍāka caitanya-nitāi
“O Lord! This material body is a lump of ignorance, and the senses are a network of paths leading to death. Somehow or other we have fallen into the ocean of material sense enjoyment, and of all the senses the tongue is the most voracious and uncontrollable. It is very difficult to conquer the tongue in this world, but You, dear Kṛṣṇa, are very kind to us. You have sent this nice prasāda to help us conquer the tongue; therefore let us take this prasāda to our full satisfaction and glorify Your Lordships Śrī Śrī Rādhā and Kṛṣṇa and in love call for the help of Lord Caitanya and Prabhu Nityānanda.”
There are six kinds of rasas (tastes), and if one is agitated by any one of them, he becomes controlled by the urges of the tongue. Some persons are attracted to the eating of meat, fish, crabs, eggs and other things produced by semen and blood and eaten in the form of dead bodies. Others are attracted by eating vegetables, creepers, spinach or milk products, but all for the satisfaction of the tongue’s demands. Such eating for sense gratification – including the use of extra quantities of spices like chili and tamarind – is to be given up by Kṛṣṇa conscious persons. The use of pan, haritakī, betel nuts, various spices used in pan-making, tobacco, LSD, marijuana, opium, liquor, coffee and tea is indulged in to fulfill illicit demands. If we can practice accepting only remnants of food offered to Kṛṣṇa, it is possible to get free from māyā’s victimization. Vegetables, grains, fruits, milk products and water are proper foods to offer to the Lord, as Lord Kṛṣṇa Himself prescribes. However, if one accepts prasāda only because of its palatable taste and thus eats too much, he also falls prey to trying to satisfy the demands of the tongue. Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu taught us to avoid very palatable dishes even while eating prasāda. If we offer palatable dishes to the Deity with the intention of eating such nice food, we are involved in trying to satisfy the demands of the tongue. If we accept the invitation of a rich man with the idea of receiving palatable food, we are also trying to satisfy the demands of the tongue. In Caitanya-caritāmṛta (Antya 6.227) it is stated:
śiśnodara-parāyaṇa kṛṣṇa nāhi pāya
“That person who runs here and there seeking to gratify his palate and who is always attached to the desires of his stomach and genitals is unable to attain Kṛṣṇa.”
As stated before, the tongue, belly and genitals are all situated in a straight line, and they fall in the same category. Lord Caitanya has said, bhāla nā khāibe āra bhāla nā paribe: “Do not dress luxuriously and do not eat delicious foodstuffs.” (Cc., Antya 6.236)
