How to consider normal human beings?

I have a genuine question. I wanted to ask what is the right way to consider such a situation

Should we not discriminate between Vaishnavas and normal human beings ideally?

If a normal human being says something which makes you feel that is rude and they should not have said that or they should correct it .

Would that be thinking bad about them within ourselves? Should we think that whatever rudeness is being showered, it is from Krsna and accept as destiny?

Is forgiveness practical? By Chaitanya Charan das

  • This is the age of quarrel and hypocrisy in which hypocrisy rules. Those who give you advice in philosophy they themselves behave exactly the opposite . So if anyone messes up with you always give a befitting response otherwise it will continue to hurt you and wont let you live in peace and of course nothing wrong in that too. Not every rude behaviour can be called as KRISHNAs mercy otherwise there wouldn't have been a list of vaishnav aparatha and punishment in hell etc etc.

The question if quite convoluted. It is rephrased for simplification.

How to respond when someone insult us ? Should we think that it is being showered, it is from Krsna and accept as destiny?

Yes, as per the teaching of Lord Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu

    trinad api sunichena
    taror api sahishnuna
    amanina manadena
    kirtaniyah sada harih

One should chant the holy name of the Lord in a humble state of mind, thinking oneself lower than the straw in the street; one should be more tolerant than a tree, devoid of all sense of false prestige and should be ready to offer all respect to others. In such a state of mind one can chant the holy name of the Lord constantly.

This is the qualification of a person to glorify/remeber Krishna 24X7.

Better is to grab it is an opportunity than destiny. Destiny indicates inevitability. Opportunity indicates eagerness to look forward to it.

These insults purify us. The more it hurts, the more we can cry and depend on Krishna to take us back to him. These situations prove on our face that we are not controllers, it removes the illusion that anyone can ever be happy in material world. These situations remind that we do not belong here. We belong to Krishna. It purifies us of our attachment.

In normal course we get so attached to comforts, people, designations, fame, money etc. All these are unconscious ways in which we substitute for lack of our Krsna consciousness. We are filling our lives with material things. Through these situations Krsna shakes us. These are His way of telling - Remember me , ur eternal friend.

Most great devotees faced this - Draupadi, Dhruva, Arjuna etc. These are great opportunities if we have the right perspectives and act accordingly.

Should we think bad about the people who insult us ?

No, they are carriers of our past karmic reactions. They have delivered what was due for us. No point in blaming them.

They may have made mistakes, but they will get reactions for that from material energy when their time comes. But what they deliver to us is because we deserved it due to our past mistakes.

So no point in seeing their mistake. We need to rectify our mistakes and improve our consciousness.

It is very difficult. But this is the way forward. Before we go back to godhead we need to act on these principles. Better now than after a few or many lifetimes.

      Hare Krsna

The purpose of accepting bitter experiences as Krsna's mercy is so that we can depend on Krsna, or serve to krsna. These bitter experiences should drive us towards Krsna by making us more humble and tolerant. When with utmost humility we serve Krsna as our only shelter, then Krsna truly reveals how merciful he actually is towards his devotees.

We have to be very careful that the bitter experiences do not take us away from Krsna. It is very useful to have superior guidance. Like Dhruva had his mother and Narada Muni.

      tat te ’nukampāṁ su-samīkṣamāṇo
       bhuñjāna evātma-kṛtaṁ vipākam
      hṛd-vāg-vapurbhir vidadhan namas te
       jīveta yo mukti-pade sa dāya-bhāk

My dear Lord, one who earnestly waits for You to bestow Your causeless mercy upon him, all the while patiently suffering the reactions of his past misdeeds and offering You respectful obeisances with his heart, words and body, is surely eligible for liberation, for it has become his rightful claim. (SB 10.14.8)

  • Remember when Dhruva maharaj was hurt by his step mother that he cannot sit on the lap of his father unless he gets a boon from supreme lord to be born from the womb of his step mother Suruchi. It was indeed a rude remark.

But u know what Narad Muni said to dhruva maharaj when he was out to jungle to search for Supreme Lord. ?

SB 4.8.28  My dear Dhruva, if you feel that your sense of honor has been insulted, you still have no cause for dissatisfaction. This kind of dissatisfaction is another feature of the illusory energy; every living entity is controlled by his previous actions, and therefore there are different varieties of life for enjoying or suffering.
SB 4.8.29  The process of the Supreme Personality of Godhead is very wonderful. One who is intelligent should accept that process and be satisfied with whatever comes, favorable or unfavorable, by His supreme will.
SB 4.8.33 — One should try to keep himself satisfied in any condition of life — whether distress or happiness — which is offered by the supreme will. A person who endures in this way is able to cross over the darkness of nescience very easily.
SB 4.8.34 — Every man should act like this: when he meets a person more qualified than himself, he should be very pleased; when he meets someone less qualified than himself, he should be compassionate toward him; and when he meets someone equal to himself, he should make friendship with him. In this way one is never affected by the threefold miseries of this material world.
Your own previous deeds come to u back firing always!!! Some time back u might have hurt them and now its their time to return to you. Everything happens for a reason. Everything good or bad, happiness or sadness all are offered by Lord according to His WIll only it happens.! And everything is happening to make u a better person !!!! makes u more Krishna Conscious person.
    Hare Krishna.

  • Hare Krishna. PAMHO.

Should we not discriminate between Vaishnavas and normal human beings ideally?

No. tomorrow the 'normal' human may become a great vaishnav. you never know. you should respect everyone.

when someone speaks rudely, they me be stressed/disturbed due to some other reason. or they may be in ignorance. one must try to understand the deeper reason and be compassionate. and yes we must take it as our destiny. & we must ask "what Lord wants me to learn from this ?" & feel grateful for the chance to learn & come closer to the Lord in every situation.
