The way to become jitendriya, as explaiend in our philosophy, is by giving a higher taste to our senses. This higher taste is employing our senses in the service of the lord. if we eat only Krsna prasadam and chant 16 rounds of mahamantra every day, we are better placed to control the tongue - which has 2 functions - tasting and talking.
Seeing the deity form of the lord and senior pure devotees purifies our vision. Then we are not inclined to see objectionable content. OUr heart automatically feels revulsion at the mere thought.
HEaring kirtan, one's own chanting and lectures purifies the ear such that there is no taste in mundane music or mundane talk.
The entire process is gradual - lord also mentions shanair shanair uparamate in Gita. We have to be determined, patient and resolute to make progress on the path of devotion.
Parameter to recognise a jitendriya person - 26 qualities of devotee is mentioned in Gita.
