Hare Krishna dear devotees,

Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada.

I have been sincerely trying to improve my spiritual life, chant more attentively, and read Srila Prabhupada’s books daily. However, I find myself constantly distracted by social media, YouTube, short videos, and endless scrolling on my phone. Sometimes I open the phone for work or study, but after a few minutes I lose focus completely.

I feel this is becoming a very common struggle, especially for younger devotees and students living in the modern world. Even during japa, random thoughts, notifications, and internet habits disturb my concentration.

I wanted to ask senior devotees:

How do you practically control digital distractions without completely disconnecting from modern responsibilities?
Are there any specific Vaishnava practices or routines that helped you improve concentration?
Is it better to reduce technology step by step, or make strict rules immediately?
How can we use technology in Krishna consciousness instead of becoming controlled by it?

I would be very grateful to hear practical experiences and advice from devotees who faced similar challenges.

Hare Krishna.
