  •  3 times as said by Govind sharan prabhu that the jaya vijaya doorkeepers came to Earth. Latest in CC it is mentioned that -

    CC Aadi 10.1.20:-

In the Gaura-gaṇoddeśa-dīpikā , it is said that the two brothers Jagāi and Mādhāi were formerly the doorkeepers named Jaya and Vijaya, who later became Hiraṇyākṣa and Hiraṇyakaśipu. Jagāi and Mādhāi were born in respectable brāhmaṇa families, but they adopted the professions of thieves and rogues and thus became implicated in all kinds of undesirable activities, especially woman-hunting, intoxication and gambling. Later, by the grace of Lord Caitanya Mahāprabhu and Śrī Nityānanda Prabhu, they were initiated, and they got the chance to chant the Hare Kṛṣṇa mahā-mantra. As a result of chanting, both brothers became exalted devotees of Lord Caitanya Mahāprabhu.

When Lord came as CC as  channa avatara ( conceled Hidden incarnation)... some of his devotees came down too to take part in the leela. It was not for the curse sake that they came this time. It is for just accompanying Lord they have come.

For the sake or original curse they had to only take 3 births.

    That three births are-

    -Hiranyaksha &Hiranayakashyap

    -Ravana & Kumbhakarana

    -Shishupala & Dantavaktra

    and their curse is done.

Jagaai madhaai are Jaya vijaya again coming to take part in the leela during CMP time.  Now during Chaitanaya Mahaprabhu time many demigods have come down to play a part just for the sake of leela not for the sake of curse. Like Ramananda Raya is none other than Arjuna... and Swaroop damodara was lalitha sakhi and Srivaas pandit was none other than Shri Narada muni.. many such people came back to play their part in the leela so also jagaai madhaai came to just be a part of leela.

    Hare Krishna.

    • Thank you for this correction. Hari Hari.

  • Hare Krsna. There were 3 births of Jaya and Vijaya which is mentioned below:

In Satya Yuga As the asuras Hiranyakashipu (Jaya) and Hiranyaksha (Vijaya). They were brothers born to Diti and sage Kashyapa. Hiranyaksha was slain by Varaha, the boar avatar of Vishnu, and Hiranyakashipu was killed by Narasimha, the man-lion avatar.

In Treta Yuga As the Rakshasa brothers Ravana (Jaya) and Kumbhakarna (Vijaya). Both were defeated and killed by Lord Rama. And in Dvapara Yuga As Shishupala (Jaya) and Dantavakra (Vijaya).

After completing their three births, they had returned to vaikuntha. There were jagāī-madhāī during Mahaprabhu's time, not jaya and vijaya. Hari Hari.
