How can we reconcile the Bhagavatam description that worms bite the infant in the womb with the scientific knowledge that there are not even bacteria in the amniotic fluid ?

Hope devotees help me in this regard .. Hare Krsna !

Hare Krsna devotee,   I went on the internet and found there is worms that live in the wombs of women and many other places also.  So you please check this so called scientific source that says there is no worms ever found in the womb.  Srimad Bhagavatam told of these worms and now science has confirmed it and not contradicted it.

    • Hare krishna..so everyone should remember the four basic problems of the material world in any planets starting from satyaloka to lowest planets, that is birth, old age, disease and death..one can be free from all these worries in vaikuntha lokas and goloka vrindavana, which is mentioned in the authentic scriptures.

  •  You may also read http://www.nature.com/jp/journal/v25/n5/full/7211290a.html where among many other things it states:

"Human AF may also contain substances that are potentially harmful. Perhaps the most concerning AF contaminant is meconium. There is good evidence that defecation in utero is a universal phenomenon occurring occasionally in the second trimester and frequently in the third trimester.41"

"Meconium may also play a role in stimulating bacterial growth in the Amniotic Fluid, perhaps by serving as an exogenous iron source. A recent study found a correlation between the presence and severity of meconium-stained AF and the rates of both chorioamnionitis and endomyometritis.43"

    • thats again a wonderful evidence which corroborates the srimad bhagavatam statements

  • There are bacteria in the amniotic fluid. This study attempted to alter the microbe culture with "good" bacteria through dietary changes of the mother.  So microscopic organisms are being found there in more recent studies.  http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/22776980

    • So srimad bhagavatam is such a divine and authentic scripture. no doubt about it.Everyone should and must trust it and have full faith in it, as its transcendental and god-inspired scripture.
