Our behavior is a set of actions that stem from how we act upon the thoughts that enter our mind.

By becoming a witness to every thought that enters your mind you stop reacting to those thoughts.

Afterall, the thought is not you and the mind also does not belong to you.

  • Hare Krishna,

What mata ji told is absolutely right.

YOU must stay conscious of our actions and behavior.  This is tough thing to do but by practice one can achieve.

You ( SELF) or the soul ( atman) should be seperated out by the intellect , mind and senses.

Senses are under the control of mind and mind is under the control of intellect Isn't it?

Intellect if takes orders of the mind and senses it is said to be a bad manager.

Intellect should take orders from WHOM?

Intellect must take orders from Soul.

    Soul takes orders from Parmatma.

So, buddhi should be trained to not to listen to the senses and mind.

HOW CAN BUDDHI OR INTELLECT BE TRAINED?

You don't listen to what mind is craving for.

    Let us say..

GOVIND SHARAN prabhu got a desire to eat Rosagulla. As soon as  he sees the Rosagulla his mouth is water, he is touching it and feeling it.. all his senses are sending information to the mind.. to come on eat it. Mind reports to Buddhi all its activities.  Buddhi or the intellect tells okay.. go do as you please. Then mind will tell all senses to have it enjoy it.  This is when you are doing all actions to please your mind and senses.

consequences you will face. You will overeat sweets as you have sweet tooth and you will get a toothache in future.

But the Buddhi which is conscious of Parmatma and atma. It will report all that mind and senses want to Higher authorities ( SOUL and SUPERSOUL)

Parmatma guides the soul ( atma) and which in turn guides  Buddhi.

Buddhi takes now CONSCIOUS decision of not chosing the sweet which is going to cause trouble to his tooth. ( this is a simple example) We can apply it to any example.

Ab jiski Buddhi Brasth ho jaati hai bolte hai na local language mein. Iska arth ye hai

BUDDHI BRASTH HONA MEANS when Buddhi ( intellect ) is totally under the control of mind and senses.

Akal ghaas charne gayi.  So, when Intellect is taking orders from Parmatma + Atma  then such an intellect is said to be KRISHNA CONSCIOUS.

    Hare Krishna

    • Yes, it is true. How is the term "patana" understood from the viewpoint of Kṛṣṇa Consciousness? Hari Hari.

      • haan Krishna ko patana hai toh Sambhal ke rahiyo. Sri Krishna ko patane chale bade aaye. Jisne mein Sri Krishna ko patane ( to please HIM) ki koshish bhi ki na. woh kudh pat gaya uske prem mein.

ek baar fisale toh baher nikal nahi sakte na andar poori tarah jaa sakte. Beech mein latka ke hasega humpe.

        Chaurashtakam padha hai kya?

Is chitt chor ko patana asaan nahi. Agar woh kudh pat jaaye toh behter hai.laughing

Maiyya Yashoda ne use rassi se bandh ke prem ki jaal mein bandhi banana chaha.. Shri Radha ne bhi prayas kiyo khoob.

Ye sabko  pata ke bhaag jaane  mein maahir hai.

Mai sochti thi isko pataungi. Apne ore keechungi. Agarbatti, chanting..doop deep naivedya.. sab prakaar ke kar liye ... patane ke tareeke bahut hai... lekin woh Patega kahan?

Yashoa maiyya thak gayi abhi woh prem mein bandh nahi raha toh prayas karna hi chhodh diya.

Tab jaake woh pat gaya. usne hi rassi kudh apne udar pe bandhi aur kudh hi prem mein bandh ne ke liye taiyyar hogaye.

Dekho Krishna ko patana ke bahut tareeke toh hai.. lekin agar woh kudh hi se pat jaaye tabhi ye sambhav hoga.

        Radhe Radhe.

Mai toh Patana..ko aise hi understand karti hoon Krishna conscious way mein.

        laughing

    Hare Krsna dear prabhu,

    PAMHO.

We are trying to become Krsna Conscious. For that, we are conscious of our thoughts so that we can always remember Krsna, never forget Krsna.

Regarding actions and behaviour, if we keep our focus on Krsna, then we will automatically avoid a lot of anarthas like prajalpa (gossip); and end up following hte 4 regulative principles.

    Haribol,

    Your servant,

    Radha Rasamayi DD

    • Yes, it is. But what if we fail to do that or make only negligible progress? Hari Hari.

      • E-Counselor

We have to keep on trying. That negligible progress will also stand us in good stead. In BG 2.40 - it is mentioned nehabhi krama nashost.....even a small progress on this path will allieviate us from great fears.

Later in BG it is mentioned that if our lifetime ends, but sadhana not completed, we get appropriate atmosphere in next birth and also chance to continue from where we left in previous birth. Unlike our material degrees. We will have to start from A B C, regardless of how many degrees we had in previous birth.

So either ways, there is no loss on this path. Keep taking baby steps and keep progressing towards Krsna.

        Haribol.

  • A person can stay conscious of their actions by regularly examining their thoughts, keeping good associations, and remembering the purpose of life. In Krishna consciousness, chanting the Holy Name, studying scriptures, and offering our hot games activities to Krishna help us become more aware of our behavior. When we pause and ask ourselves, "Will this action please Krishna?" it becomes easier to act with mindfulness and responsibility.
