Heart transplant surgery in relation to the soul

Hare Krishna!

All glories to srila Prabhupada.

Now a days it is very common to hear about heart transplant surgeries.

It is said in bhagvad gita that soul is situated within the core of heart of a living person.

In heart transplant surgery the whole heart is exchanged with another heart.

That means a person receives another person's heart in transplant surgery.

But each heart carries  it's respective original soul.

That means (in common sense) soul is also exchanged along with the exchanged heart in transplant surgery.

But it is found in every patient that even after the (transplant) surgery the person (who went through the surgery) remains the same person. The soul is not exchanged along with the transplanted heart.

Thus only the heart is exchanged and not the soul.

Please clarify the doubt of exchange of heart but not the soul in heart transplant....

  • Subtle body is what acts as an vehicle for the subtlest i.e the soul.

In heart transplant we are just dealing with the gross body.
