I have a question regarding the chronology of the Vedic literatures. Though I didn't read by myself but I heard that the Padma Purana and Skanda Purana contain glorifications of Srimad-Bhagavatam (Bhagavata Mahatmya). If Srimad-Bhagavatam was the final work compiled by Sri Krishna Dvaipayana Vedavyasa, how is it referenced and glorified in Puranas that were written before it?
Could you please shed light on this and help clarify my confusion?

Hare Krishna,
Yes, Time is cyclic and going in circles.

Srimad Bhagavatam is eternal. In the beginning of Kali Yuga, Srila Veda Vyasa realized that people's memory will be reduced hence he compiled the scriptures in written form. Prior to this compilation scriptures were taught orally and learnt by hearing only.
Srimad Bhagavatam existed even before its compilation.
