my mom also visited a karmi doctor, and doctor gave her advice not to eat bread and meat. then she became vegetarian.
in this way Ayurveda is for all.
Vedic knowledge is for all. We do not have American cancer or Russian tonsillitis...in this way the way to solve the problems is also one.
We know that garlic is bad, onion is bad, meat is bad. and we have to say that it is bad. but then after telling the bad sides of those products we have to give to them free choice. They should themselves to decide whether to eat or not. We do not force.
and if eating meat they do not get healthy then we should not give to them advice anymore. because they do not listen to us. what is the use of trying to help them if they do not listen to us???

Personally, I suggest you give them alternative to meat for their diet. Meat has too much of fat in it and is not advisable for cardiac patients. You better consult the devotee doctors here on IDT for suggestion and do the needful. You can find them in this link http://www.iskcondesiretree.net/page/ask-doctor click on the link Who are the devotee doctors on panel?

Go to peta.org and check out their website. They have information on how meat eating is bad for the heart. As for garlic, tell them that for some people that it can irritate the GI tract and cause digestive problems such as nausea and vomiting. You can also tell them that garlic can interact with a variety of different medications and can decrease their effectiveness.
